Martinez says he can make 154. What Floyd Sr really means to say is "Martinez is too good to risk Juniors unbeaten record against, and we've already used the steroid excuse against someone else."

Floyd has been at 154 twice now and he hasent looked the best, he relied on hes superb boxing IQ, to get him the win even against a top dog in cotto recently

He has tested the waters twice now and i think he has found his limit...
He should stay at 147 where he is comftorble (especially being on the downside of his career). Even if martinez could make 147 floyd wouldent and shouldent take the fight... It would be a weight drained **** fest like pac-dlh.

Martinez should focus on chavez jr or perhaps take on lara and prove how good he really is if a big name belt holder wont give him a shot

He's right. Martinez is too big.

I don't see why everyone is pushing for Floyd to fight a guy who is the MW Champ. How can a guy be ducking someone who is the champ 2 weight classes above his most comfortable weight?

true. martinez is too big even if he can make 154. although i'm confident floyd wins by UD, size just plays too big a factor.

Sensible from Senior, though I think taking that middleweight title is the wong thing that could cement Mayweather's legacy (and shut people like myself up). Martinez would be very dangerous for Floyd.

It all boils down to, whoever people think can put a blemish on Mayweather's record regardless of weight. Maybe Floyd should fight Wlad.

I suppose Charlie Zelenoff was too big for Floyd Snr, too.
