I get so tired of simple minded people who actually believe that there is a superior race in boxing. Look at the history, there have been numerous great fighters from all races, religions, countries and cultures. This is just racist nonsense. At one time the Irish were the leading guys in boxing. Then many great Jewish fighters came along. Then many great Italian fighters. Then many great African-American and Hispanic fighters. Now, European, especially Eastern European fighters seem to be the best as a whole. Does that mean that the Eastern Europeans can't be beaten by a black fighter from whatever background? Of course not. Whites can beat blacks and blacks can beat whites. Its called skills! It is just like someone like Floyd Sr. and Jr. for that matter, to think that they are better because of their race. Bullsh*t! Floyd Jr. is one of the best because he has God given talent that few fighters of any race possess. Is Manny Pacquiao great because he is Asian? No. Are the Klitschkos great because they are white? No. Anyway, I have made my point.

When did Floyd Sr. say anthying about one race being superior to another? His comments stem more from differences in styles rather than assumptions of superiority.

Oh, so all black people have the same style? Oh ok, that too makes a lot of sense.

Of course not. But in general, blacks and Mexicans have a different style of fighting.

That is true to a certain degree. Back in the day, Mexicans were considered brawlers who can take shot after shot and keep coming until someone is stopped, but these days boxing is so universal. Juan Manuel Marquez is a great boxer who also will brawl at times. Whereas a guy like Paul Williams isn't really slick at all. He is a guy with skill, but his style differs greatly from someone like Mayweather or even Mosley. Now, I know you weren't saying that ALL black fighters fight alike, so I am not arguing with you, just simply making my point that people from the same racial background still have different styles. I think that Mayweather Sr. is a very simple guy when it comes to race. Floyd Jr. too. Floyd says some of the most racists things that are completely untrue. Like his comment that white people had to create their own sport (MMA), because they couldn't succeed in boxing. Ignorant comment, plain and simple.
