I read a quote that I felt was interesting, I posted the quote and it spurned further conversations. This particular quote revolved around race. If pretty much every quote or subject I brought up was related to race, you would have a point. As it stands, you don't have a point. I'm not going to avoid something that gains my interest just because it relates to race. Not one of my threads has ever been reported or deleted.

Well, what makes the comment ignorant is that it simply isn't true. White people can't succeed in boxing? I wonder if the Mayweather's have ever heard of, I'll just use recent and current fighters here instead of going through the entire history, The Klitschko's, Joe Calzaghe, Kelly Pavlik, Tomaz Adamek, Lucian Bute, Carl Froch, Felix Sturm, etc. White people are succeeding just fine in the sweet science, and of course it isn't because of their race. So, in my opinion, slandering an entire race is a racist act, even if the person committing the act is not a racist. Some people just talk out of their asses and say ignorant things.

As far as many other people making that argument, that doesn't really hold water. MMA is a diverse sport with people coming from all over the world. The best UFC fighter in the beginning was really a Brazilian. Of course I am referring to Royce Gracie. So yes, if other people, regardless of their race, religion, nationality, etc., say that white people invented their own sport because they couldn't succeed in boxing, then they are saying something which is both ignorant and racist.

It's funny that you mentioned the Magic and Bird documentary. I love that documentary and I am not a basketball fan at all. It is just a very interesting story about the two guys. And yes, I saw some ignorant white guy on there saying "I think that there's a conflict between a white and a black, and I don't enjoy coming to a basketball game and watching all black players", well you know what I say to that ignorant douchebag, "watch something else then!!!" But, this conversation that you and I are having has nothing to do with white fans not watching boxing. It is about an ignorant statement made by Floyd. A statement that, again, is not true. White people succeed in boxing just as well as any other race. No better, no worse.

That's it! This idiot is a racist and he is partially going again against Pac in this one - I'm sorry but he says that he was for Shane against Margo b'cause he is a black american and now this - is this more offensive or what than BHops' Wboy thang concerning JC and T Adamek?

Floyd Sr. is the one who said Mosley hasn't beat a black fighter since Wright(which is correct). Floyd Jr. is the one who said he was rooting for Mosley because he's a black American. And Hopkins never said anything racial to or about Adamek. Michael Marley printed some fake quotes from Hopkins as a joke and people ran with it.

Mayweather needs to get rid of this racial complex thing he's got going on, it's so tiresome.

It does make sense. He had 4 official losses to Black fighters back then Forrest 2x and Winky 2x. What Floyd Sr is getting at is that Black fighters have a style that give Shane fits. Shane fights better against the aggressive Mexican style.
