IMO he's NOT, any great trainer wouldn't say **** to his fighter. Motivating your fighter is one thing but that's just pure discouragement.

That's an old article too. lol

Exactly. Everyone in the fight game knows if you want to work with Sr, it's his way or the high way. It's no secret. I thought Dawson looked magnificent in the 2 fights he had with Mayweather Sr. It's unfortunate it didn't work out. I don't fault him for the way he acted with Hatton at all. Hatton hired him, but yet would listen to Beard more than Sr. Why even hire the man than? Sr just said "**** it, i'll collect the paycheck."

I better test dawson's IQ cuz Sr. said he was ******ed. I wonder if anyone who was actually ******ed (clinically, under 70 iq) has ever been a boxer. I bet someone has.

You know, upon hearing Dawson and seeing him in interviews, I could believe he has a learning disability. I dont think he is mentally ******ed though.

lol ya if SR is calling you ******ed yikes

I believe it's anything under 75 is considered ******ed.

The average IQ for Sub-Saharan Africans is 70 (only Australian Aboriginals score lower) and i'm pretty sure i remember the statistic correctly that about 15% of African Americans are below 75 so i'm sure there have been quite a few boxers that were.

    * the 15% stat (if im remembering correctly which im 99% sure i am) was from this book. (Race: The Reality Of Human Differences by Sarich and Miele) [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Race-Reality-Differences-Vincent-Sarich/dp/0813340861[/ame]

I still don't understand why a guy like Dawson would spend $150,000 on a watch & try to emulate Floyd's lifestyle. Not only that, but if your gonna try to be flamboyant, why not show it in your personality? Use it to make some money

What? If there's one thing you can rely on SR. for, it's that he's full of ****.

I really don't know why people give a flying **** about what this crackhead has to say.

A fighters confidence is probably the most important thing for a fighter. If a coach wants to get the best results from his fighter he needs to motivate, to encourage. You should tell him how it is and be professional, Mayweather snr. could've said 'listen this is what you're doing wrong, try this and see how it works for you' or something along those lines. Getting emotional and saying that he's gonna get his head knocked is not helping a thing. Yes Mayweather sr. thinks he is helping but he obviously has no idea about psychology. He's old school and he knows boxing, in other words he is dumb but he can teach you boxing. That's half a coach right there so if Chad wanted to leave fair enough I say. I get the impression that Floyd sr. is just an ego anyway, he doesn't care about anyone other than himself.

Floyd Sr. is the last person who should be calling someone else ******ed because of how they talk.

Fighters will bail on Freddy soon as Floyd exposes Fanny Pac..

That's if he ever gets over his fear of needles and Black American fighters.

Oscar did not like working with Sr. Oscar claims he feels like he is always wrong at all time and fear to walk back to the corner. SR. is a very abrasive person. Self centered and abusive. Floyd jr's insecuries prolly came from his father constantly dogging him when he was a child.
