38-0 (Floyd Mayweather, Jr) vs 43-0 (Ricky Hatton)

    Billed as: Undefeated

Undefeated p4p champion Floyd Mayweather, Jr vs Undefeated lineal champion at 140 Ricky Hatton

A huge mega-bout that was relatively even in terms of odds. Floyd only 2-1 favourite.

Many people thought Floyd was simply going to outpoint him with his defensive abilities/accurate punching. But he showed another dimension in his game that Ricky could not deal with, Floyd's inside game.

Ricky Hatton was OUTFOUGHT on the inside until the eventual stoppage in the 10th round. One of the greatest performances by an all time great imo. That check left hook was one of the best punches I've ever seen. You don't see many like that at all. Check hooked into the turnbuckle.

That Floyd looked absolutely monstrous, those right hands just destroyed Ricky Hatton. He couldn't see them coming, it came too quickly for him.

Nope, he would have gotten his glass exposed.

Khan was destroyed by Danny Swift.

Right because Hatton was a great fighter that's why it only took Manny 2rds to dispose of him

same way Ortiz was ruined by maidana before he fought mayweather it does not work like that hatton was not badly beaten up in the mayweather fight he actually looked good in the 2 fights he fought next

Mayweather had help from the ref. He wouldn't let Ricky work at close range. Kind of like the second Maidana fight.

Mayweather was outfighting him on the inside whenever they got up close. Cortez did nothing. Hatton was a KO ready to happen. It was only a matter of time.

He had 0 chance, he didn't hurt May once.

May was 10x better than him in 2007.
