Sugar Ray Robinson, need it be said? You mustn't know much about boxing. Then it'd be Henry Armstrong, Archie Moore, Sam Langford, Muhammad Ali, etc.

I do agree fighters nowadays are taking the safe route but when mentioning Maayweather that is a false statement and honestly statements like that are exactly why fighter take the safe route.
Because of people like you who pretty much discredit his whole career like he beat up scrubs and talked his way to a payday is exactly why these kids is fighting scrubs waiting for a payday..
Mayweather retired with the most Champs beaten all time never won a vacant title beat the #1 rated fighter of division Champ at least twice in 4/5 divisions, first fighter to be Lineal in 4 divisions unbeaten and went on a streak from 2006-2015 from Baldomir-Maidana I where every single fighter he fought was a combination of being top 3 divisional rated universally, a current champ and or top 10 P4P rated the only other fighter with an argument of being greater in the last 25 years is Pacquiao and PBF whitewashed Pacquiao..y'all need to stop hating and give credit where its due.
Mayweather has a solid argument for being top 10 all even if you don't put him there
WBC & Lineal Champ at 130
WBC & Lineal Champ at 135
    WBC Champ at 140
Was Undisputed, Unified and Lineal at 147
And Unified & Lineal Champ at 154
Retired holding WBA,WBO,WBC Titles at 147 and WBC & WBA Titles at 154

He's still up there as one of the best but he did carefully select when he fought his opponents and under which conditions.

You do know that there is alotta evidence suggesting that most of the guys you can name actually waited him out and not the other way around.

He is indeed The Boring Evader. I often fell asleep during his stink fest fights.

Yeah they waited him out until they were past their primes, that's totally what happened. Not like most of these guys were calling him out and he kept not letting it happen.

Floyd was manufactured a bit. He is a top guy in histor, but he didn't face the guys a Ray Leonard had. Benitez, Duran Hearns,, That would have proven a lot.

High risk low reward fights Mayweather didn't become the money man until 2007 over a decade in and 4 divisions up....early mid 00's guys like Mosley had a toothache, and Hoya acted like he didn't exist...do some research bro...there is a fight from 2003/4 Mayweather vs Brusssles one of the few unheralded fightere on PBFs ledger the thing is though Brussles was a lifelong training partner with Miguel Cotto same trainer same style grew up together, Mayweather and Brussles fought in what was supposed to be a scouting match for Cotto to see how his style would do for a potential 140 unification when Mayweather destroyed Brussles Cotto turned tail and said he wasnt ready...in 2012 when they actually did fight Cotto is on record saying he wasmt ready back in the day and felt ready know after the experiences of a championship career...just one example of note..130-140 Mayweather was dominating top 5 Chanls with ease nobody wanted a part if him until the money made the loss worth it...even still who can you REALLY criticize?

Ha what a joke the money man was not sought after you say? As if the loss was never worth it. Absolute madness. You're deluded clearly. You have three speculative examples and you claim it as proof? How about the fact that he just didn't fight anyone who has a longer reach than him in all of fights? Or fight anyone in their primes or that young apart from Canelo but even then he fought him at a catchweight. As I said, very good, but he played all these games for a reason. He was a fraud. **** he beat an MMA fighter making his debut to beat Marciano's record which just shouldn't be allowed. That was an exhibition fight and a total sham.
