So since 96 when Floyd started his career who's he Avoided??

    List them :deal

I remember him avoiding Jason Cook in early part of last decade. Cook offered Floyd a fight in Stadium but the massive punching Welshman couldn't entice Floyd. Cook was a dangerous puncher with a massive following. A British superstar at that time due to his charisma and looks.

I remember Cook, he gets so underrated on a historical basis.

I think it's because, as you say he was avoided by more well known fighters. They didn't want to risk it all against a guy like that.

Void is named void for a reason mate. I do remember Cook. Under-rated fighter who would've given floyd fits. Floyds avoided a lot of fighters but one of the fighters that stands out to me is casamayor back when floyd was fighting at super feather. could have easily met him at a catchweight. personally i think casamayors style would've been a nightmare for floyd who at that weight would have struggled with the strength and power of casamayor who p4p was a beast.

    Post Ricky Hatton fight:

"Miguel Cotto is a tremendous champion. But I've done everything in the sport. I'm retiring. Peace!"

    :hi:

Floyd ducked Cotto, Margarito, and he's still ducking Pac.

    :deal

    :rofl

He 'void'ed' the rubber match with Castillo claiming that Jose's poor showing in the second fight was so bad he had to be on roids the first time. He wasn't going to give a cheat a pay day (until an old Mosley showed up)

*******s just think this **** revolved around their fighter

Well although I'm a ******* mate, at least we CAN agree that void ducked many people throughout his career. Kostya Tzu is another one he avoided at 140. I know void fans like to point out the Kosta lost against Hatton, but a prime Kosta would've given void a fight. It's 50/50 but I think Kostas power would've been too much and void would've been stopped around the 4th or 5th.

In all seriousness, if he didn't void Cotto until now, he could well crack a top 5 p4p list.

No way. May is much better at using the shoulder roll, and that is the best way to defend

    He agreed to fight Margarito.

"Arum said while Mayweather would have taken the $8 million to fight Margarito, he asked for a $10 million guarantee to fight opponents such as Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton, when Arum was only willing to guarantee $7 million.
Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.
"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

the problem is, that signing to fight Margarito meant he would've had to stay signed to Arum who was telling him that the Hoya fight wasn't in the cards. We all see how that worked out.

    :good

But why did he refuse to fight Jason Cook?. I mean it was a massive fight lucrative for both men. Yet he avoided it for a year then moved up a weight...

^They won't answer mate. void fans only support one fighter, not the sport. they won't even have a clue that Jason Cooks technique of stepping to the left and fenting before throwing a 3 punch combination would've been like kryptonite to floyds shoulder roll.

He didn't refuse to fight anybody. He was promoted by Bob Arum in 96. Arum was the one who selected his fights.
