    I don't think Floyd can be considered the best ever until he moves up a weight class.

    Hating on Guerrero for being a titlist in 4 divisons an a champ in 2 is stupid especially when you consider all the paper titlist that are barley even real champs in one divison being overrated Lara, Provodnikov, Thurman, Quillin, Rios, ect..get hyped more and have done less..right now Guerrero would be Thurmans Best win Porter, Khan, and a lot of the fighters around WW who are trying to make a name now.

    Where they all ultimately end up remains to be seen take Ortiz for example I no longer give to much credit for that win seeing how he has fallen, Guerrero could rise or fall I could see Guerrero stopping Khan if they fought next that would be a quality win just like if Maidana-Thurman comes off Maidana would be a step up in class and could beat Thurman. Maidana is an established champ Thurman is trying to establish himself now.

    Why do some of you doubt Floyd, he has beat over 20 champions and he generally does it in dominant fashion. I don't see how anyone can argue that his record and resume is not one of if not the best of this era...

    Roy jones, despite getting obliterated later in his career, is a much better fighter and won in spectacular fashion, Floyd just wins. He's certainly great, but there is better.

    This is the point that never seems to get addressed. If you look at his opponents over the last eight years all except one have bean beaten by other people as well and in the majority of cases in a more decisive than Floyd has beaten them. Yet some people seem to give him a good chance against the very best ever.

    Exception to this being Alvarez who only has the one loss on his record
    but a fight with Austin Trout that could have been scored either way with fair judges.

    I like Floyd and he isn't even close to being TBE. Top 20 probably, best of his era for sure, not TBE.

    If Floyd moves up and beats Cotto for the MW title, then fights and beats Murray, I would rank him top 25 all time.

    If Floyd moved up and unified MW with no catchweights, where would that put him?

    Not even close, imo.

    Floyd is a great fighter, and one of the greatest of our generation without a doubt. But best ever? Ive believed for a long time that Floyds greatness is one of the biggest cons being pulled on the boxing public (which isnt suprising, given how stupid most boxing fans are)

    Great fighter, without a doubt.

    Greatest ever, or even close to? Not even close, imo.

    This is exactly the type of thing that adds to the Mayweather illusion.

    'Floyd becomes the middleweight champion of the world!!!'

    Is all people look at, completely ignoring or niave to the fact he moved up and beat a guy who

    * He already beat
    * Wouldnt beat any other top middleweight (which is why cotto almost certainly wont fight any)
    * A middleweight who is a former 140lber
    * A fighter (cotto) who only holds the title because he was able to captalize on the worst version of Martinez ever, a version who shouldnt even be fighting anymore and a Martinez that 10 other fighters between 154 and 160 would have beaten that night.

    Its amazing to me how watered down boxing has become, and even more amazing are the fans all too happy to drink up the hype regardless.

    If he was the best of the best, does he fight and beat the best?

    I think Floyd is one of the best ever.

    I would very bet against him in a fight against any of the champions from any era of boxing. He is the total package.

    IMO one of the best ever. Resume has some holes though but in terms of ability he is unmatched.
