Floyd Mayweather's face is looking more and more like James Toney these days.

It makes a difference because I'm straight going to counter your argument about a chess player vs a tic tac toe player when it comes to style issues.

I know you consider Toney to have a high ring IQ.

Toney is the chess player, Samuel Peter the tic tac toe player and that's on his very best night, on his average night he isn't even that.

Samuel Peter's fight team devised a gameplan to use Peter's strenghths against Toney. Bigger, stronger, and with a better reach, Samuel Peter stuck to a gameplan of strictly pumping a power jab in James Toney's face and basically beat Toney one handed.

Peter rarely threw anything other than his jab because he had learned from fighting Toney previously that it would be countered rather easily by the better thinking high combination Toney.

Toney couldn't get past the jab, where was his ring IQ then against tic tac toe'ing Samuel Peter????


I'll give you another example. Hopkins vs Jones. Hopkins by far the better fighter, but he couldn't use his chess skills to offset the speed and quickness of Roy Jones Jr. who imo has an average ring IQ.

Toney vs Jones is another.

Hopkins vs Calzaghe to a lesser extent as Calzaghe is pretty smart himself but I don't consider him on the level of Hopkins in that department yet Calzaghe still handled him rather handily using better speed and quickness.
