Pacquiao gives 28% off the GROSS to Bob Arum.

Mayweather just gives Schaffer and GBP 5% off the Net.

And people want to argue that Manny makes about equal money? :rofl:patsch

Mayweather is making more money purely on his boxing talents than any fighter in the game and that includes Pac. You can put a twist on the **** and start adding endorsements but that's not what the meat of this thread was based on. That's the difference between the two, Where Floyds boxing talents pay him, Manny's celebrity pays him. That's why Floyd is a true ATG and Manny is a really good show.

35% goes to irs, haymon gets about 30% off of the guaranteed purse.

  5. Look at the rest of you posters bitching about how much money they both make. You guys wouldn't even see 1 million in your life.

None the less Floyd is the second highest paid boxer in it's history, and by the time his career is over he would probably be the highest paid boxer ever. Not bad for a women beater huh?

Void will get nowhere near 41.5 mil, the government will take so much of it that Void will only get 20plus mil. Pac will make almost as much because he is fighting in Macau, where taxes are much lower. Muhammad Ali did the same thing because of taxes.

To educate the haters. This is a no brainer here. Floyd sign the richest contract Ever! It does not count PPV like the 41.5 is his base salary not counting the PPV sales. Floyd in forbes and Espn for being the richest athlete! Pacman is trying to pick up his pieces he paya Two different countries ever time he fights. The Phillipean taxes are no joke and bob arum. Floys has own brand inwhich he collects 100 of his revenue!!! Floyd has No middle man to deal with!!!

Stop spreading wrong information. Pacquiao is not paying taxes in two countries. He is a foreign fighter from the Philippines which means he only has to pay 12% tax to fight in Macau and not US taxes. Meanwhile, Floyd is paying 39.6% to fight in Vegas. If a US resident fought outside the US, he would pay double taxes, but not Manny. Look all of this up on Google because it's all facts. Use your common sense and apply some basic logic.

    Guaranteed purses only:
    Floyd's 41M after tax (-39.6%) = 24.7M
    Manny's 22M after tax (-12%) = 19.4M

Gasp, look at the difference. There's no doubt that Floyd earns more than Manny but the difference ain't that much like people think it is.

The 41.5 million is Floyd base salary. It doest count Ppv sales! Floyd still has to pay taxes in China when he fights there plus arum who may easily take 50 percent of paan
Whenever pacman fights outside the phillipeans which is all the time. He pays that country taxes and phillipean taxes. Floyd has his Own endorsement which is his brand inwhich he gets 100 of his revenue!

Uh yes he is required to pay taxes in the Philippines. He may not want to, but this is exactly the issue that got him in trouble with the BIR last year. Well more precisely, his refusal to report his income got him in trouble, but he's in all likelihood wide open to a charge of tax evasion if he actually complies with their requests because his US and future Macau income isn't exempt from taxation back home.
