Is it me or is it that Mayweather Jr never gets credit because he is just too good?
I'm a fan of both he and Pacquiao but to me it just seems the media always give Manny more credit over his victories.

Maybe Mayweather is too good and dominant, which causes fights to be one sided and boring at times for a casual fan.
Pacquiao on the other hand not as talented as floyd but is aggressive and explosive in exciting but sometimes more competitive fights.

Nice try but its more like this...Media brainwash people. You got haters and nuthuggers who dont even care what the fighter does. Most people hate the fans of a fighter more than the fighter himself. Prime example of this is LukeO. Hes completly in love with Floyd but cant stand what the nuthuggers say about him.

If you dominate prime hall of famers, no one can say anything at all, it's simply impossible to put a fighter down that fights the best opposition.

Floyd don't care about legacy so he wont care about not having one.

    It's extreme on both sides.

Some people hate the **** out of him for his opposition selection.
Some people think he is better than ray robinson and ray leonard combined.

Truth is he is very good, but he has to do it against prime guys who are at the top of their games.

    Overrated!!!

Who is the fighter most credited with a win despite not even actually facing them?

The answer is Mayweather, of course!

    Example :

Mayweather vs. Margarito - answer : foregone conclusion, the boxing match is just formality to an already known result!

Mayweather vs. Martinez - answer : look up Mayweathyer vs. Margarito

    Depends who you talk to.

I would say the average fan probably under-rates him some. Pacquiao fans definitely under-rate him.

I would say the average Mayweather fan probably over-rates him some.

:good Mayweather's fans are comfortable with their man telling them that he'd beat everyone...instead of him actually going about proving it.
