Yes, its my opinion :huh A logical one. He's not fighting somebody out of his depth here that he's expected to walk all over. He's fighting a genuinely great fighter, greater than himself infact. That he clearly does not want to even fight despite ridiculous sums of money being on the table. That says a lot. Frankly saying Pacquiao would lose heart in this fight is disrespectful. Pacquiao is ready to take the fight, Floyd isn't.
Also, with the plethora of one-dimensional guys he has faced, what are these great adjustments that Floyd is a master of? Pac whitewashes one dimensional fighters far more impressively, and not just because he's typically more 'fan friendly'. Floyds defence is impressive, but it should be against his opposition, who have rarely given him angles. Whereas Marquez was cute enough to land on Pac consistently, Floyd isn't going to have that kind of output, and his style doesn't lend to him dealing with a fighter like Pac, where if you don't take chances he'll walk all over you. The guys reputation is mainly built on straps, not opposition.
I'd say pac, but in a very close fight. Floyd had many chances to make this match and gave himself an out every time. He just doesn't want it.
Floyd by landslide points. Manny will show heart but just wont be able to hit the target often enough to make an impact and will lose his confidence as the fight goes on.
Either Floyd stops him in the 10th (a Hatton-Esque stoppage is how i'm seeing it. I'd bet good money on the 10th round if this fight ever happens) or Manny win's a ud. Floyd, as talented as he is, has no balls @ WW. And that's a ****ing fact of life, hence why this fight will never happen. I can see a documentary in about 30-40 years time, and Floyd will admitt that he bottled it. I can honestly see such a thing happening.
thats what he does.....he susses you out then takes the fight.... we can go on all day and night about this fight...... well lets have it right.......WE ALLREADY HAVE :good
Floyd stopping Pacquiao?! Madness. Pacquiao's chin is beast like. It's ridiculous how good that guys chin has held up. Floyd's power is very very average, it ain't happening.
Why would Manny go for shots he doesn't normally go for? As always, it's based on 'Floyd can do this when he needs to'. Manny doesn't need to 'go crazy' either. He's an educated pressure fighter who has tidied his balance up to the extent that Floyd will only sporadically have him off IMO (because he sporadically throws) Manny will just need to do what he always does, it's more than enough to get Floyd out of his rhythm. Manny is too jazzy for Floyd to be consistent against, he needs his opponents to come straight at him. Whilst Manny does this, it's his angles, handspeed, mixing shots between head and body and the fact he is just a better fighter. Stylistically, it's far worse for Floyd than it is for Manny IMO. But as we know, Floyd will never take this fight.
'A Hatton-esque stoppage' :rofl Over Manny?! The guy has an iron chin and Floyd is no puncher, low output and bad hands. Go figure.
just from not being able to catch him with anything meaningfull...... this is what i belive will win the fight for floyd..... as weve all seen before.....hit and dont get hit wins every time so far for PBF.
How many kds has Manny had in the past few years? Or rather since 122lbs? None. As far as I can remember (Barrera kd was not a kd) How many times did Floyd drop Baldomir, Judah, Mosley, Hell, he only managed one left hook kd on a much smaller Marquez, who goes down quite often despite his resilience. And he's going to knock down a man who's arguably the most durable fighter in the sport? It's f'n mentalist talk.
