You reckon he'll outwork him? I tend to think Mayweather exposes his opponent's lack of timing and accuracy and offsets it with his usual stepping here and there to potshot to a decision. Just mine.

 

I think Williams would outscore him if he uses his height and reach and doesn't just bomb forward. I think he gives Mayweather serious problems. Mayweather would never fight him.....Too much risk with little reward.

 

That's the thing though, that's not Williams' style. Maybe an exception or two along his career possibly, but the man's a swarmer, regardless of his size. And he has serious sloppiness and accuracy issues. I think Mayweather's a nightmare for him personally. Saying he should fight the way you highlighted is like saying Jeff Lacy should have started to move sideways against Calzaghe, it's not his style. Dimensions don't factor imo, the style of the fighter does.

That's just my opinion. I do agree this fight will never happen though.

 

Williams is a bigger version of Diego Corrales. Mayweather offsets and outclasses all that bull**** and wins a UD

 

Williams is a whole level above Floyd Mayweather.

Now as for Floyd Mayweather Jr, now that is a lot more interesting!!!!

Sorry to be flippant, but not putting the Jr on the end, when it involves a father and son of the same name both involved in the sport, is a pet peeve of mine.

I don't see a lot of similarity to Corrales unless you just mean being tall and lanky. But, yeah, if Quintana can outfox Williams, then obviously so can FMJ. Paul is a tough guy but he's as slick as sandpaper.

 

He could, but it would be real tough. Too dangerous a task to take in terms of risk-reward.
