Floyd weighed 149.5 in his last fight. Is this guy even a lightweight?

No unfortunately, I'm just hoping. Knowing Floyd it'll be "mma" but with boxing rules. .. I guy can dream though right?

But my understanding is that the guy's a 126-130 pounder. Is he big enough to really hurt Floyd even with his best kicks?

Easily. A roundhouse kick to the head would put Floyd out. Plus, kicks are difficult to defend against if your only training is boxing. I speak from experience.

No way Void agrees to full kickboxing or MMA rules.

Given some of JMMA's history and the tendency to mixed in "worked" semi-real pro wrestling bouts in on their cards I'm very skeptical of this being a real fight. Actually it may have "kicking" and "grappling" but if it does it will almost certainly be a worked match.

I highly doubt this will be a kickboxing match. And it should be noticed that Floyd is picking a very small guy to fight. What will be other intangibles such as weight , height , and reach advantage.

But a kick from a professional fighter , even if he weighs 130 lbs , will hurt. Try hitting your leg with a little force and then imagine someone going at it with the strength of a leg. Also in the clinch you can knee.

The weight difference (20lbs) isn't big enough to negate the fact that a conditioned shin bone is a lot harder than a knuckle in a 10oz padded glove. Kicks are just a different type of pain/power, when you haven't been exposed to them ever before. Can you imagine Tenshin driving a few shins into Mayweather’s bicep when he goes into his Philly Shell? Even if Mayweather managed to block every single one, he's going to be messed up in doing so. Kicks just change the entire match-up completely.

I hate McG but got to say that was funny to read (of course using an Irish accent in my head while doing so).

You’d be surprised. Those legs kicks are something else. My mate has trained in Thai boxing since he was a kid and I’ve felt the brunt of a leg kick on many an occasion when he’s decided to kick me in my thigh as his idea of a joke. They’re sickening and I find it hard to understand how these MMA/UFC guys are able to not even flinch when they get hit with them. My mate is about 10 stone, I’m 12 and a half so a bit of a size difference.
