To quote Scott Steiner, size doesn't matter b1tch. Not in this case. And this guy is a world class kickboxer, right? Or has he just been built up very carefully? Even then, he is still a kickboxer. I really have no idea about kickboxing. We have head gear, Floyd Mayweather would need leg gear here. Maybe he can wear some sort of armor. It's a freak show, why not?
The guy is in his 40's and retired. Why are you so upset? Would you have the same reaction if it wasn't Floyd? Doubt it. If Floyd was in his prime ducking opponents, sure, I'd get the argument, he's just doing this for entertainment and $. Keep crying though folks!
I don't really care the fight is for casual fans similar to Lidell Ortiz or when celebrities try their hand at boxing or MMA. It's just that Floyd is a household name therefore attracts more attention.
This. A kick or knee to the head is far more impactful than any punch. A 125lb kickboxer can problably ko a guy as heavy as 160lbs if he catches him with a clean head kick. Or he could simply kick out a leg or a few good knees to the body and its a wrap. I dont believe this will be an mma match. Theres a chance itll be boxingvkickboxing but there will be some limits on the asian fighter. Floyds not going to take the chance of getting embarrassed in front of the world by taking a knee or kick to the face and face planting.
It's confusing. Why would anyone want to see Floyd box three rounds against a 126 pounder? But there's no way Floyd is going to allow the Jap to kick him. Either scenario is crazy.
This kid weighs just 125-130lbs but if in this fight hes allowed to use knees and kicks Floyd is going to get hurt. Now i say that assuming its a real fight and not some staged exhibition. This kid is fast and while he is koing a bunch of other little guys the threat of one well placed knee or kick knocking floyd out cold is a real possibility. The shoulder roll isnt made to defend kicks especially from the angles and speed this kid is throwing them from. Honestly id rather see this kid fight Mighty Mouse Johnson in a real mma match.
