I will never understand why people think presure is the key to beating Mayweather. Is it because Castillio had secuess with an injured Mayweather in their first fight? I can't think of a more stupid thing to do when facing a counterpuncher than comming to him and giving the oppertunities he needs. Mayweather May have been at his physical best at 140. He either won all his fights at the weight by stoppage or at least manged to knock his foe down on his way to a decisin victory. While the likes of DeMarcus Corley (UD 12 with knockdowns in the 8th and 10th rounds), Henry Bruseles (TKO 8) and Arturo Gatti (RTD 6) might not be as good as Antonio Cervantes (KO 4) and Alexis Arguello (TKO 14 & KO 10). I would say they are at least as good as if not better than anyone else Pryor defended against at 140. This will turn out to be a typical Mayweather fight. Early on he'll potshot nd not engage. As the fight goes on around the fourth round. He will start to find his comfort zone and become more agresive. Will can do a lot to keep a boxer on his feet. Arguello landed a great shot on Pryor in their first fight that almost took his head off, but Pryor did not go down. On the other hand Cervantes was able to score a knockdown of Pryor. Right before Pryor knocked him out. I think Pryor will stay on his feet, but I would not rule out a knockdown. My pick is a Mayweather decision 8-4 over 12 or 10-5 over 15. Pryor has a punchers chance in his 11 championship fights only two of his oppoents heard the final bell. Outside of that I see a Mayweather win in this one.
I just dont see anyway that PBF can keep Aaron off of him, from what i've seen Floyd wasnt moving much at 140 with his legs that was at 130 & 135,against the Hawk you better be able to moved which utimately was Alexis's problem and horrible demise.I also think Aaron hit much harder than anyone that Floyds been in their with, this could get ugly and brutal fast, the Hawk in 7...
Pryor never fought anyone close to Mayweather .. he made his legend busting up Arguello who was super tough and a murderous puncher but SLOW compared to Mayweather ... Aaron would be hit flush dozens of time every round and that would impact his kamakazi style ...I love Aaron but remain unable to pull the trigger in his direction ..
I'm pretty sure that Zab hits harder than Pryor ... Floyd has the defence, punch versatility, footwork, stamina, ring-generalship and adaptability to beat Pryor IMO. Pryor will make Floyd work hard, but Floyd has the strength and accuracy to handle Pryor's style, IMO. Floyd will get a gauge for Pryor's style and himself and Roger will adapt the gameplan as early as the 3rd stanza to deal with Pryor's unorthodoxy. I get the feeling that Pryor is sometimes overrated (some would have you believe Ray Leonard ducked him :rofl), whilst Floyd is underrated around these parts (all you have to do is put pressure on him to beat him in an ATG H2H match up).
