You said in another thread you haven't watched modern boxing because you can't get into it. Your credibility has gone out the window.
Yeah, valid points which I back up, not throwaway or dismissive broad criticisms. Technical aspect has regressed, less of the best fighting the best, performance enhancing drugs rife. I sill watch it, just not as diehard as I used to be. Are you saying taste and standards are not subjective? How that has got anything to do with this thread, or the Classic Forum, I don't know. Check out McGrain's top 100 P4P thread, I criticise old timers too.
Cool, I guess you don't feel Mayweather at 130 can win against the greats? Arguello, Chavez, Duran, Armstrong etc.
Have you read this thread? Floyd would beat Arguello easily, that's something I've come to a clear conclusion on over the years. Duran? No, worst matchup ever. Armstrong, unlikely but he wouldn't be bulldozed. Chavez, yes at 147, no below that. Floyd is bloody good but not one of the greatest IMO. But top class fighters can beat other top class fighters, it isn't about status, it's about styles. Floyd has a lot of solid attributes, but he's not stylistically infallible, you can see that from his application, regardless of his '0'.
Agreed, but I don`t think Chico would have any moments like Ganigan did. I think that at 130,Arguello would destroy Corrales . He`d break him in half with bodyshots...
The only reason people say that Arguello would destroy Corrales is because Mayweather destroyed him, so to keep Arguello on the same level as Mayweather you are forced to say Arguello would destroy Corrales. Before Mayweather fought Corrales I doubt people would say Arguello would beat him so easily.
