At the end of the day, this is a smart move by Team Khan. Alexander was definitely going to hand him another loss - and with it an end to any dreams of a Mayweather fight. It makes more sense to fight a lesser 147lb'er or 140lb'er @ 147. Someone whom he can look good against as a prelude to a Mayweather fight.

How is this going to work though? It was easy to promote Floyd's last few fights even though on paper they were obvious mismatches. Guererro had the heart wrenching backstory about his sick wife giving him inspiration to beat the odds just like she did, Alvarez was the young, hungry, undefeated lion, Ortiz was coming off that explosive fight v Berto and the man was a tree ffs. Plus they all had their Mexican heritage to play to which made all these match ups so easy to promote and fill All-Access episodes.

So what angle are they going to use with Khan?

    Not sure if serious?

'Light hitting Willie Limond' nearly brutally murdered Khan and Khan's been on unsteady legs and back pedaling ever since. Floyd either toys with him for twelve or stops him early.

Khan doesn't have the brains or the chin for a fight with Mayweather. Floyd wouldn't even have to land a right hand, he could get Khan out of there with a well placed jab. People saying Khan needs to stay on the outside and use his jab are correct, but this applies for practically anyone he fights and he still doesn't do it.

They can match him up with a reject from Joe Louis' "Bum of the Month" club and hope that he looks spectacular. If he does then GB can work the "He's back" angle...

I suppose that would work, the trouble with Khan is he always seems to be a fight or two away from Mayweather but manages to **** it up.

Floyd rarely KOs opponents at 147 or 154, but that's the case when Floyd will get his 27th KO win.

I don't think Khan is great at all but of every realistic challenge out there for Floyd, Khan stylistically at least is the toughest one.

But of course GLASS JAW LOL BUM.. etc etc.

I think it's a good style match up for Khan. I think Khan has some success in the early rounds but Mayweather adjusts better than anybody and stops Khan late on.

The only similarity I'm seeing here is between Khan's chin and the last 5 letters of Buster's surname. Other than that, nah I don't see it.
