You all are posting on something that's a month old. Floyd isn't fighting Khan. He has better options with several other guys. Guys like Danny who knocked Khan the **** out. You know the guy GBP is promoting the **** out of and building him up like crazy. Only makes sense that he is next.

Even so, you must look at this fight STYLE-wise, realistically. Put all the glass BS aside and you have a boxer who's active and faster than any of Floyd's last opponents. Not taking anything away from them but they just weren't active enough to keep up with him. Guerrero and Canelo barely threw any punches and I don't see how Garcia would be any different either.

Khan's never been outboxed and neither has Floyd - You have to admit this makes for an exciting 'boxing' fight and not another 'Floyd wins a lopsided decision over a flat-footed opponent'. And please don't bring up Garcia deserving the fight because I'd rather see Floyd fight a decent boxer like Khan, Bradley or Pac instead of slow plodders. That's how you win - it's called 'boxing' for a reason. No blueprint needed if you're not fast or active enough to keep up with him.

When you rationalise it like that it actually makes since and is a hard premise to argue with but the only real attribute Kahn has is speed his leaky defense suspect chin outweigh his speed. I'd rather he take the Alexander-Porter winner or Bradley

Well considering that NO major boxing publication has said or confirmed a damn thing. I'm calling bull**** on this one.

Plus why would it be in Vegas? The only reason Floyd was even entertaining the possibility of this fight was so he could headline at Wembley. Yep, I smell a huge steaming stinking pile.

Mayweather has probably been harshly criticized on about 5 or 6 different occasions over the years for fighting Khan.

I agree with you. Some people on this forum want to criticize Floyd's choices of opponents, which I could never understand considering he always takes on top-tier fighters in their respective divisions. But if he were to fight Khan, especially with how Khan has looked for the past 2 years, I'd be highly disappointed. Especially when you factor in Floyd only has only a few fights left, Khan has no business being mentioned as a potential opponent when there are guys like Pacman, Garcia, Bradley, Sergio even a Cotto rematch worth considering.

Khan doesn't deserve this fight in the least bit especially after his surprisingly bad performance against Julio Diaz. Hopefully this is just another fake rumor.

Agreed. It's the easiest way to get free publicity. Call out a top fighter, even if the fight will never happen.

Royce Gracie called out Mike Tyson at one point to get their name out there. Nothing in it for Mike Tyson because at the time no one had really heard of MMA (NHB at the time) and there was no money in it.

Garcia deserves it more but Khan poses more problems for Floyd stylistically.

I expect Floyd to stop him late.

Looks like GoldenBoy decided to send Khan out for the payday.

Khan has just been picked to switch on Bolton's Christmas lights, ironically in the same week he was picked to have his lights punched out by Mayweather.

Absolutely ridiculous. He could have at least fought Mosley to "earn" it. There had better be one hell of an undercard because I can definitely see a large number of Americans passing on this one.
