heh heh. He might never fight him, but if he does its a cherry pick. Khan couldn't land on McCloskey. Floyd will hit him back, I think its an easy fight for Floyd. Khan might be the "real" sweet and low deal eventually with Roach but he isn't a great fighter. Very very far from complete (his 1-2 blitzes are unvaried, his left hook is too wide, his movement is good but also straight in and out - he gets away with everything because he has 1)speed and 2) decent power)

Khan has none of the technical variation or toughness that I could see troubling floyd, his attacks are good but not as penetrating as the very best offensive fighters (pryor, Pac, Hearns, Tyson) and his punch resistance still seems to be one perfect shot away from complete neurological shut down without accumulation.

and outclassing Zab is something that has been done by guys like Spinks and Baldomir - Zab's very very very 1000% best night was his fight with Floyd, and he still lost.

Mayweather once ducked Winky Wright when Winky was at MW and Mayweather was at LWW. Mayweather is also currently ducking MW champ Sergio Martinez.

Right so if he fights him in 2012 is this cherry picking? How is a legitimate argument that floyd will weight for khan to age, floyd is older!? Even if floyd shows the effects of ageing slower.

Didn't Mayweather Jr. himself say he wanted to fight Pacquiao next? I guess we should believe Roger instead. After all, Roger is the one who exposed Pacquiao for taking A side meth which makes him bulletproof.

The question is not whether Khan will win against Floyd. Khan will probably lose but it is whether Floyd will duck him.

Not sure why he needs to duck anyone but he does.

Mayweather is older than Pacquio and he is waiting for Pacquiao to get old. Mike Tyson was past it when he was 24. It's all about styles. Khan's style will make him age a lot faster. That's why Khan wants to retire when he's 28.

I figure its not a duck if it isn't worth your time to beat someone or they are washed up or clearly can't win. To me a duck is purposefully avoiding a serious, legitimate, widely perceived threat.

With Winky, Floyd agreed to fight him and negotiations were already set in motions where Floyd's team made demands and agree to some demands only to have the fight scrapped because Floyds team changed what they agreed to.

Winky Wright plans to fight in November, but the former undisputed super welterweight champion doesn't have a logical opponent for a major bout.

Wright, whose 154-pound belts were stripped from him by the sanctioning bodies, hopes to fight Nov. 5. And Las Vegan Floyd Mayweather Jr., the WBC super lightweight champion, said he would accommodate Wright. Mayweather has a Nov. 12 pay-per-view date against an undetermined opponent.

"I would fight Winky Wright and could make it happen for November," said Mayweather, who won the WBC 140-pound title last month by stopping Arturo Gatti. "I'm a risk-taker. All that has to happen for the fight is for HBO to come to the table. I respect Winky Wright, and he's the best 154-pounder in the world, but I'm the best fighter in the world.

"I want to be the best ever, and to do that, you have to take risky fights, fights people think you can lose. Well, after everyone saw how he dominated Felix Trinidad, that would be a risky fight for me, wouldn't it? But I'll still take it."

He praised Mayweather for his willingness to move up and said he would take the fight if contracts can be made.

Mayweather said he is confident he can beat Wright, who last fought as a middleweight and won all 12 rounds against Trinidad.

"What makes Winky such a great fighter is that he is a good boxer," Mayweather said. "But he's not a big, big puncher. He should have stopped Trinidad. That's how I feel. When you dominate a guy like that, and he was extremely impressive, the fans want to see you step up and finish the job and stop him."

    ......

Floyd tucked his tail between his legs when Winky barked back. :yep
