Where do you get that Khan's speed is'nt on par with Mayweather's?
If anything, he might be a little faster in combination.

Look at the ease in which Khan lands the jab on Malignaggi......

    Handspeed, power, good jab.......
Khan has a poor chin, but Mayweather is going to have to exhert mustard on his shots which he does'nt like doing in order to crack Khan's chin.
Thats what makes this an interesting matchup, Mayweather may have to become the stalker during the fight if Khan's speed and jab starts to get to Mayweather.
Its quite possible that Mayweather could be forced to lead and not sit back in counter mode vs a faster Khan.

I like the Khan matchup over any other matchup out there for Mayweather 147 lbs and below.

Not saying Thurman can't beat Maidana because i think he can but i was hearing similar things to this before the broner fight, "Devon beat Maidana and Broner is way better than Devon so what chance as Maidana got vs Broner" for example.

Triangle theories don't work in Boxing, Thurman does not hold and run like Devon does, he gets hit and Maidana cracks hard. I see a Thurman vs Maidana fight ending by stoppage either way in a really fun fight.

Maidana has improved a lot since he started training with Garcia. He would knock Alexander out now. Maidana is faster, has a fantastic jab, cuts off the right and throws lots of punches, not to mention his rock chin. People forget how much Maidana has improved.............

Floyd, beats both easily, then critics say his must move up divisions for challenges. Why di marvin hagler never move up & fight michael spinks then?

Showtime, has no authority over his opponents folks, when will you learn this! Stephen espinoza, supports this bout 100pct! Unlike pacs team , floyd has 1st class negotiators, that cannot be railroaded by certain decisions! Bob arum, once said about mike trainer, sugar ray leonards adviser, he is the toughest negotiator i ever met! This is why he is haunted by dealing with al haymon & richard schaefer, who are smarter than he is!

Showtime is obligated to pay Floyd a minimum $40 million dollars for his fight, it's laughable to think they wouldn't hold any authority over his next opponent. Espinoza can say whatever he wants to the media, it means next nothing. What's on the contract is another story.

A corporation like Showtime will require a pro-forma to see if a particular opponent will not only cover costs, but return profit. I'm guessing Khan is in the gray area like Guerrero and Showtime's not going to be thrilled with that, especially as it leaves them vulnerable to counter programing by HBO that night.

Not a snowball's chance in hell.

He's not on or anywhere near Floyd's level. This fight is a cash grab and nothing more.

Floyd could easily bait Khan to the ropes, let him flurry and catch him with a sharp counter Khan likely wouldn't see.

Watch Khan v Diaz again and explain to me how that same fighter, coming off of a long layoff is going to trouble Mayweather because I don't see it. Not even a little bit.

A mismatch of epic proportions. Floyd is going to knock Amir out.
