Honestly, I don't know how Khan is even an option for Floyd, other than money. He looked horrible in his last fight, and is a very flawed fighter. Garcia, Bradley, and Lara are all WAY more deserving of a Floyd fight than Khan.

Besides all the various announcements in Khan's favor as the front-runner, Floyd's alternative options have dried up, at least in terms of a fight held in May. Maidana has to rematch Broner, Garcia looks to be fighting Herrera in March, Cotto is probably fighting Martinez. Floyd could of course, take a fight with the likes of Lara, GGG, Pacquiao, etc, but everyone knows that's not happening. So if he's fighting in May, while it's not set in stone, Khan is the very likely choice.

 

The funny thing about rumours on the internet… Sometimes they turn out to be true.

 

I agree with what you've stated but all it takes is for someone to have an impressive victory or KO at 47 & then they will be the man that will be hyped up to beat Mayweather, even though Khan is in the running for the fight I don't see it happening in May
