Floyd Mayweather vs. Amir Khan speculation & discussion

lol @ escaped with his life... i recall only one guy who got dropped in that fight and was wincing in pain... maidana was saved by the bell otherwise the fight would have been over in round 1.

these are the same people who were saying maidana was going to knock him out in 2010/11

 

Maybe I'm missing the argument neither has a chance yet the one who earned it and might actually finish the fight is the wrong choice I don't get it it seems fairly obvious that Midana wins if they ever fought again what it the appeal in a Kahn fight

Clearly Thurman is the most credible option for Mayweather out of these three. He is young, hungry (lion), and has all the tools to cause a major upset or a great fight. Sadly he's the least likely opponent.

Khan is the second most credible as he brings something to the table that Mayweather has rarely had to deal with and DOES struggle with: speed. Khan is a sloppy, amateurish fighter with a susceptible chin. What he does have is speed, and he has it in spades. To go with that speed is decent power, and good enough boxing skills.

Maidana, as popular as he is right now due to Broner, is the worst of the three. Maidana has plenty of power, but that's it. This is an A+ level boxer going against a C level boxer. Maidana CAN'T engage Floyd in a war, and he will be hopelessly lost in the center of the ring. We've actually seen this fight dozens of times before because this guy is made to order for Floyd. Please don't forget what an ancient, one eyed Erik Morales did to him using veteran tricks and boxing skill.

When was the last time you saw Mayweather get stunned, or even hit by a slow, looping shot? When was the last time you saw Mayweather go to war? I like Maidana a lot. I'm happy he beat Broner, but he just doesn't pose a threat to Mayweather.

Maidana has short arms so Floyd beats him with the 4& 1/2 reach advantage but if Maidana can get on the inside and balls out, elbows flying, kidney shots and use his HEAD:hey, he might land some PAIN to little Floyd:yep

Khan has footwork and output but no DESIRE to win just a DESIRE to cash a check.

Maidana has the will to win and could care less about the popular vote or money...he just wants to bring his RAIN OF PAIN:bbb:twisted:

At this point if youre not Pac you don't have a c hance of beating Floyd at 147. So...... why not pic the most entertaining fight? Most of you so called fans will be streaming any way, and so what if the fight loses money it's not our money (shrugs).


Maidana fight: Floyd will punch, turn Maidana, and hold on the inside. Taking minimal chances as he should with a hard puncher. When Maidana fights on the inside the ref we break up the action. The refs play in Floyd's favor when it comes to holding, and ruff tatics. This will be a snuzzer or at best the Mosley fight



Khan fight: Won't have a dull moment for as long as it last. Quick hands flying with Floyd opening up trying to beat Garcias tko round. Khan will get so many opportunities. Very fun fight!
