Mayweather is able to lower the workrate of most opponents.

Given Khan's defensive deficiencies, shaky chin, and Mayweather's accuracy and counterpunching ability, it shouldn't take that long for him to make the proper adjustments (land the right shot) to make Khan more cautious and throw less.

Khan's feet may be fast but he does not have good footwork. Good footwork is being able to place your feet for the right angles for offense and defense, and Mayweather is miles ahead of Khan in that area, as well as balance, ring IQ, technical skills, defense, countering, etc....

Khan's skills have always been overrated because of speed. Even an old Floyd will pick him apart. The "*****s" will act like it's some great achievement because of threads like this.

I think Khan could be a problem because of his speed, combinations, height and reach. He has the hand speed to disrupt Floyd's timing early on in the fight, and if he can stay at range, throw quick combinations, then I think he can give Floyd problems. But Khan falls short in other areas. He can be timed, despite his speed, and I think that's Floyd's specialty. His reach isn't drastically longer so Floyd will reach him. His ring IQ could probably be graded with a C+. I think he wins 4 rounds, when Floyd is defensive, especially now, some punches get through. But who knows, I can't see Khan winning.

Very tough decision, I think Roach-Khan does better offensively but is too open to counters. Whereas Hunter-Khan would take less damage, but also do less damage in a snooze fest. I'm a go with Roach-Khan because they'd take more chances, Hunter-Khan would fight at Floyd's pace and be too methodical.

Nope, nome of them held belts at 147 or have done since their respective fights with Floyd

Are you sure? I think Ortiz was the WBC champ, Guerrero was the WBC interim champ and Maidana took Broner's WBA belt.

man belts are a load a shite i hate them comment 'so and so was a champion at this weight' as if its some amazing feat, when actually like senchenko were champs for years and got beat by a guy considered c level and miles away from a floyd fight, talk about how there looking now and who they beat no bull**** belts and rankings

At least you have to fight at that weight to get a belt in it, unless it's a catchweight. lol Moreover, what does it say about Khan if he can't get a belt at 147? I agree that there are too many belts and they don't mean that much but they mean more than not having a belt at all.

Has nothing to do with Hunter. Hunter is the right trainer for Khan at this point in his career without a doubt.

roach failed miserably with Khan against Peterson & Garcia. Merely lack of dicipline & for the Peterson fight lack of coaching they had Ariza & Roach's assistant Filipino trainer working with Khan brawling in the gym :rofl

Roach should know better...he had way too much faith in leaving Khan alone to train like he does with Pacquiao from time to time...

yeah but sure it could be just catching someone at the right time , im pretty sure khan would hammer broner too, just maidana got the shot, you could have a more significant fight wihtout any belts on the line in this division versus a title fight with belts on the line thats the way it is now with so many titles, oppostiton level should be more important

If Khan doesn't have to be weary of Floyds power he could potentially keep firing off those fast combos and out work floyd. The problem is Hunter has slowed him down to make him more defensively sound which will make him easy pickings for floyd.

Maybe, but he never did. Khan may be a credible opponent for Mayweather but his last fight at 147 in which he mugged a shot Collazo didn't show it. I'm just saying that at least Maidana, Guerrero and Ortiz had belts at 147 when he fought them. Khan hasn't done anything to show that he is viable at that weight.

Can you imagine id Andre Ward had been trained by Roach?

He would have been KO'ed in the Super 6 and now would not be #2 P4P best fighter.

Or he'd be a heavy handed KO artist and a big draw instead of a retired fighter that no one wanted to see in the first place :yep

The reason I say heavy handed KO artist is that Naseem Richardson has said in the past that Ward can punch really hard but he simply doesn't.
