Bull**** I wanted this fight over the Maidana rematch. I want PBF to fight someone like Khan and think it should happen in the UK I've gone on record as saying this before.

Floyd is in the business of fighting slow, flat footed, left hookers… thats why we are getting D. Garcia next. Thurman maybe….both easy stylistic match ups.

2-0 at WW... Barely beat Julio Diaz in a war. Shut out Collazo (a good win for sure).

Not sure he's fought the comp. of late to make such a claim, even if the style might cause problems if the fighter imposing the style was elite. Khan is not and nowhere close, in my opinion.

    1. Everyone wants to see the Pacquiao fight. Everyone...

    2. Golovkin is a Middleweight. He has never fought at JMW, Floyd has never fought at MW.

    3. You can pretend not to remember this, but after Ortiz beat Berto these forums and others were filled with nothing but threads about how "No way does Mayweather or Pac go near Ortiz!" It was the consensus sentiment among most fans... That is until Floyd signed to fight him 6 weeks later. Hindsight is always 20/20. No need for selective memory, though.

Yeah like how Khan was KO'd when he took numerous clean bombs from maidana when they fought :patsch. Floyd took one clean shot in 24 rounds and his legs did a little dance back to the corner at the end of the 3rd round.

No Alien only you think that, but Khan from Roach vs Khan against collazo is hugely different, he doesn't bounce around anymore, rather he moves around using the ring to set up his next attack, he can fight on the inside where he got 2 knockdowns from the pocket against collazo, he counterpunches a lot more, he is rarely ever on the ropes his defence doesn't consist of ear muffs only he slips, dodges and ducks shots now, he can avoid hooks easily now and most importantly paces himself through 12 rounds. Are you new to boxing or just a *****?

Sure hatton isn't flat footed but when you run in with your hands down it doesn't really matter does it. The same marquez that Bradley and mayweather ran circles around, he's slow as **** on his feet.

This whole myth about khan having bad footwork is really stupid, if it was so bad he wouldn't be able to construct attacks using various angles, getting away after combinations to a safer places or avoiding attacks continuously by keeping range. Do people even watch boxing on these forums or just jump on bandwagons seriously..

    The bottom line is
    1. Mayweather doesn't have the power to hurt khan, his punches are powder puffs, only huge punchers can get Khan out of there and floyd is far from a puncher, and he doesn't throw combinations to get khan out.

    2. He is ollldddd he was getting caught by a flat footed come forward maidana, khan is gonna blitz him over 12 from a distance using his feet and angles to get in and out.

    3. Floyd doesn't throw more than one punch these days how is he going to outscore khan especially when khan won't even allow mayweather to get off much in the first place.

    4. Khan eats counter-punchers for breakfast because he gets of so quick with feints and angles and then he's already of to the side to a safer position. Before with roach he would stay in pocket for too long throwing silly combinations like an uppercut from range followed by a right leaving himself totally exposed to a left hook counter vs Garcia.

    5. Mayweather bringing in Alex Ariza seems like a sign of desperation because his body is deteriorating. I think he's going to look even worse in his next fight.

Next May Khan will only improve as he has done with Virgill when he took a year off, he's training in between camp before his december fight, something he never did with roach or even with virgill until he took that year off before Collazo. Mayweather will only get older and he's at a point where he isn't going to improve but rather get worse physically. Mayweather made a mistake in not fighting khan last may because the Khan come this may will be better equipped and mayweather will just get even slower. Unfortunately for Mayweather he has only Khan left to face, nobody else brings in the money like he does, Al Haymon won't put Garcia in there because he would get picked appart by money.

    1) Only huge punchers can hurt Khan? Are you serious?:rofl:patsch
Might wanna watch him vs Willie Limond.. and Drilzane.. and Julio Diaz.:patsch

And no, Danny Garcia and Prescott are not big punchers. Khan is the ONLY fighter of decent level that Prescott has KOd. The rest of his KOs have been tomato cans.

    2) Really, he's old? Well I never. He got caught with barely anything flush for 24 rounds. Not bad going really.

    3) Khan isn't going to let Mayweather get off?:patsch We are talking about the same Mayweather right? Not Floyd Sr? Floyd loves fighting at range.. the ONLY tough fights in his career were against crude sluggers who like phone box fighting. Khan is to open to the jabs and lead rights that Mayweather would no doubt pummel him with as he tries to tag Floyd.

    4) Yeah no **** Khan eats counters for breakfast.. and who is probably the best counter-puncher in the business?:huh Oh yeah, Floyd Mayweather.

Clearly weight drained at lightweight which would explain why he was taking shots from Maidana and Garcia yet couldn't from Limmond, Drilzane was flash, Julio diaz was hardly a shot that hurt khan it was more of a tangle of feet, he was clearly fine when he got up. Ofcourse Garcia and Prescott are big punchers they are far from light hitters are they?

Yes my point is an old mayweather would be overwhelmed by a younger khan. If maidana can catch him khan won't have problems all night with feints, angles, footwork and speed will he? The reason he won't let mayweather get of is because his feet aren't the same, his speed is not comparable, and his counters would be ineffective because of khans foot and hand speed to get in and out. Khan has trouble with Jabs and Straight rights, since when and against who!?!? Floyd has never fought somebody like Khan or Pacquiao, the reason he's fighting these slow plodding latinos is because he can outspeed them and get away. The fact that he is struggling with these types now whereas before he didn't tells us he is ready for father time.

Give it up. Seriously. You make it seem like Floyd has only fought plodders his entire career

How was he weight drained when he said at 140lbs he could eat anything he wanted? 5lbs is nothing.

How are Garcia and Prescott big punchers?

Khan is the only non tomato can that Prescott has EVER knocked out.

This fight has all the makings of a defensive snoozer, but 2 things make this an interesting match-up. 1) I do believe Kahn has a good chance vs FLoyd. 2) Floyd has a good chance at finally getting another stoppage(legit) win.

I dont think you realise how much even a single pound can help a fighter making weight never mind 5, especially when they are big at the weight already. How can you deny that Garcia and Prescott aren't big punchers, they have regularly hurt opponents with shots, they are clearly heavy punchers. Khan was terrible at lightweight and prescott took advantage, I never said Prescott was a good fighter he's far from it, he can be easily outboxed, but he does pack power, alvarado fight showed that.

No you don't realize. If you can eat whatever you want at 140lbs that clearly shows you cannot have been that weight drained to fight at 135.

Who has Prescott KOd to show he's a big puncher?:think

Who has Garcia KOd to show he's a big puncher?:think

A completely shot to **** Erik Morales took more punches off Garcia than Glass Jaw Khan did.

Face up to facts, Khan's punch resistance is abysmal.

Always has been, always will be.

    1. Don't take what boxers verbally say serious. You should know that.

    2. Umm, well, Garcia did beat up the heavily favored Matthysse and also dropped him hard. Matthysse had never been dropped like that before.
