Wrong again. A win over Broner means nothing, the guy is arguably 0-2 at WW

Broner was a world titlist at 147, having come straight from holding a strap at 135.

Khan hasnt held a title in years. He doesnt have the same momentum in terms of a following either.

where a fighter wasnt coming off a big, even career high win?

So is Guererro a career high win?

Big numbers might come from say Asian or British Asian origin. Are you suggesting Khan has lost the vast majority of his supporters. Nonsense.

You say 'World titlist' but what you mean is he went life and death with Malignaggi for his paper title that Cano deserved to win off him in his previous fight. The same Malignaggi that Khan demolished. Broner has proven he isn't close to being a world class WW and has no business at the weight. Has since dropped down to 140

Ok, what has Khan done at 147?

Maidana was a title holder when Mayweather fought him

Ortiz was a title holder when Mayweather fought him

Even Guererro held some interim title when he fought Floyd and was coming off wins against 2 ranked WW's AND was a mandatory.

    Is that comparable to Khan??

It really puzzles me when people view out fighting as just speed vs. speed.

I also think Mayweather will chop him up in the pocket for much of the fight. Khan is the sort if fighter Mayweather could pressure, stalk and back up imo. I don’t see it being the rangy, spacious chess match Khan wants.

Floyd had to move against Maidana. Against Khan, I think his hugely underrated, economical in-fighting comes back in to play.

Just my feeling on how this plays out.

Khans complete domination of Collazo is more impressive than having very close fights with Berto/Aydin (Guerrero), going life and death with Berto and getting knocked down twice (Ortiz), beating Broner, losing on the scorecards to Josesito Lopez before getting the knockout and being shutout by Alexander (Maidana). Hell what about Hatton whos only win at 147 before facing Floyd was a razor thin controversial decision against Collazo.

People say Khan doesn't deserve the Floyd fight, but by Floyd's own standards he has done enough

Yeah that would be the interesting thing. How does Mayweather deal with Khans fast hands at length. Does he fight on the inside and back Khan up, does he counter punch. Its a fight I would watch.

I don't know why people would not want to watch the fight. All this proving he should be in with Mayweather and deserves is pointless. Cotto and Canelo were one sided fights. I want Mayweather to fight all the guys in the top ten of the WW division. It's not going to happen but it would be nice.

Titles mean nothing these days. Should Golovkin go and fight Jermaine Taylor then brag about beating a 'world titlist'?

So essentially you're saying Khan has to do nothing to earn a fight against Mayweather?

Not even beat a ranked WW?

What I'm saying is Khan has already done as much as other guys that have landed the fight previously. I'll take a dominating win against Collazo any day over a life and death performance against Berto (who Collazo deserved the W over)

Canelo? Haven't you read the news that Canelo now has an exclusive contract with HBO?
