"He has a pretty cool fanbase"

    to

"Who is Amir Khan nobody knows him"

(Throws Pacquiao's name into the discussion to get people excited about a fight that will never happen)

Floyd is wearing a pair of blinders and the only fighters in his sight are the slow flat footed ones. Queue up D.Garcia.

Floyd is in a real tough spot now thanks to Khan...if he doesn't fight him or Pac then his true colours will be shown to all.

If he does become P4P #1, I can't imagine it being for long. He's always one punch away from getting KO'd.

    1. he boxed excellent in his last two fights against 2 styles (no power) that don't trouble him.
    2. he squeaked by "Kid" Diaz, and has been ran over a few times in his career.
    3. He has yet to even attempt to avenge a loss,
    4. Like Manny or Floyd or hate em both, their closest fights they went back in with the guys to prove themselves. Both have more character than Amir.

    Sadly its up to arum

The fighters want it...I'm not gonna hold my breathe when arum hasnt shown interest since may addressed it Friday. Arum talking about holidays... Who cares PAC vs may is bigger than cotto v canelo...hell cotto is boriqua n the A side....they should fight in June during PR parade weekend

Arum prevented us seeing may v. Odlh/cotto/Mosley/ hatton a lot sooner

People are too blind to see this is Arum's doing

Show me these things before a Mayweather fight and I might be on the upset train:

    Khan/Brook
-Is Khan even the best welterweight in Britain??

    Khan/Garcia II
-How are you going to be a legitimate opponent for Floyd if there's still a guy out there who knocked you out and holds a lineal title at 140?

    Khan/Porter or Thurman
-Prove that you're the best of the young guys who want a shot at the old guys.

Beating Maidana again would also be a nice way to show improvements. Beating a guy like Bradley or Marquez would also push him way up in the rankings. Even a win over Broner would be nice....Maidana proved that success vs Broner can be carried over to some extent vs. Mayweather.

Realistically Khan does have the tools but the skill and experience haven't been shown yet...beating a murderers row of welterweights would be a good way to see if he has the goods to beat the best in the world. I'm not convinced by wins over Collazo and Alexander. I want to see him win a title (Brook), avenge his most recent loss (Garcia), and turn back a big tough young challenger like Porter or Thurman.

There's no reason he can't do those 3 or 4 fights in 2015 while Mayweather cashes in on Pacquiao and Alvarez or Cotto. Nobody believes Floyd is retiring in September, and if there's a young British champion who's been calling him out for years, already beaten the 140lb champ, has a win over a young monster like Thurman or Porter, is rated in the top 5 of the division, and can fill Wembley stadium with over 80k and sell the fight to new demographics/countries...Mayweather will not pass up the chance to break sales/earnings records and go 50-0.

Khan should focus on establishing himself at welterweight instead of jumping the line. Aim for 2016.

why do people still say peterson?
That steroid cheat should be banned from the sport.
And khan needs to avenge his loss to danny garcia to be back up there as the very best.

People are delusional if they think Khan can outbox Floyd.

    Danny Garcia
If Khan is unworthy, then how does beating someone unworthy make Garcia worth of Mayweather fight. What has he done since beating Khan 2 years ago? Ah thats right he epic battles against p4p#1 Harrera and p4p#2 Rod who is Salka

    Kell Brook
Brook has 1 win on his resume at the world level against a semi-proven guy. One decent win on his entire resume is littered with tomato cans.

    Keith Thurman
This guy looked pretty average against a 40 yr old man. Are you saying beating a 40 yr old and old Julio Diaz makes him worthy? He still has to establish himself.

And lastly, neither Thurman nor Brook would bring the kind of money Khan would.

Danny garcia - Loses clearly to herrera, turns down khan rematch 3 times, fights Rod salka, has some really troubling rounds with an old zab judah, nearly lost to Ashley Theophane. Not even had 1 fight at 147.

Kell Brook - Fought bums for 10 years and then finally fought an overhyped midget brawler with t rex arms in an ugly, horrible close 1-2 round either way type of fight. He is not even known in the UK and you think he deserves floyd now?

Keith Thurman - Who has he really fought that is a top 10 WW today? He is a brawler that throws wide hooks, looked like he had no clue how to fight a 40 year old bundu so started running around to get a UD. You think Floyd would have problems vs him seriously?

Khan is known more than all of these guys worldwide, poses more problems to floyd than even Pacquiao, beat Alexander so badly and so impressively unlike anybody else. He deserves the shot more than Ortiz, Guerrero and Maidana did put together. And don't give me that oh but Khan at 140 this and that. Look at him at 147, his comfort weight, he looks exceptional, stop living in the past.

Khan should never get the fight over Garcia until he avenges that loss. It's a big deal and going up in weight only means that you're the guy who got iced by the lineal champ in the next division down.

Khan does have a higher-quality overall resume than Brook, but Brook beat the guy who beat the guy who happens to be Khan's best win at 147. And Brook holds a title, Khan does not.

Thurman should be behind Khan imo because he's never even fought a top 10 guy. I think he's much better than Khan and would destroy him, but Thurman has no leg to stand on when it comes to deserving a Floyd fight.
