Briggs is just putting on a show and he knows it.

Khan truely belives what he's saying, so that makes him the crazy one.

It's hilarious how people still don't know about this or are deceived.

On twitter, everyone turned down Amir Khan according to his twitter page. Realistically, Garcia was only called out after their fight by Khan because Khan knew prior to their fight that the winner has to fight the mandatory(Erik Morales) or lose the WBC title. After Garcia was done with the Morales fight, Khan went back to blaming his trainer and weight(as he did with Prescott and will do soon when he eventually gets sparked at 147).

Winning an Olympic medal of any colour doesn't necessarily mean you have elite boxing skills as a pro. Golota won bronze, Mercer won gold even Froch won a bronze at the world championships and he has woeful defence and has been out boxed by several opponents.

Wlad was similar to Khan he won an olympic gold medal and a belt on talent and size alone, despite huge flaws in his game and he as well lost to lesser opponents like Khan. Wlad had Steward to iron out his flaws and the jury is still out in regards to Hunter being able to do the same and get the most out of a precocious talent in Khan.

He obviously has some other attributes besides speed otherwise he wouldn't have been as successful as he has been imo. I think people massively exaggerate how bad Khan is. He has some strengths and weaknesses just like every other boxer.

So I guess Pernell Whitaker wasn't a great fighter. And Maidana has a very good chin. Remember Hatton had a better chin than Khan(which isn't saying much) and Floyd stopped him!

But he hasn't really been that successful has he? 3 losses, 2 of which were devasting knockouts. Lucky not to be stopped by Maidana and should have been counted out against Limmond. Yes he has won belts by being matched very carefully but as far as success goes he hasn't actually done that much at all. It's not like he's cleaning out divisions, has he ever even been no. 1 in his weight class? Everytime he has been evenly matched he has lost and not only this he blames his weight, trainers, referees, men in hats, etc for his defeats. Is this what we call successful?

Well you and I have different definitions of successful. To me winning Olympic medals, being highly ranked/regarded, world titles and making millions is successful.

Besides I said "he wouldn't have been as successful as he has been" meaning he would have been less successful not that he has been the most successful guy ever or an ATG.
To me, if he had nothing besides speed he wouldn't have even made it to the Olympics ever, never mind at the age of 17 and then getting all the way to the final and getting a silver medal. He would have lost more than 3 times as a pro and would never have won any world titles or got top 10 rankings, beaten the good opponents he has beaten or made a decent living from boxing. That to me is unsuccessful.

There have been a lot of fighters that have been highly ranked and won titles but have had average skill sets. Khan is one of them. As for the millions he has made, his bank balance is not a reflection of how good a boxer he is but more a reflection of how hyped he is. There are far better boxers who will never make as much as he has.

His success should be measured by what he does in the ring and that is really not all that impressive.

Depends on your definition of skill set and what you consider average but fair enough.

I agree and I never said his wealth is a reflection of how good he is. However I don't think he would be so hyped, popular, successful and rich if he wasn't good.

Again, I think his achievements in the amateurs (Olympic medal, beating Kindelan in the rematch) and in the pro's so far (winning world titles, being highly ranked in his divisions, beating Malignaggi, Judah, Maidana, Alexander etc) is pretty impressive. As I said he's not an ATG but he has still been more successful and impressive than the average boxer.

if khan takes pacs resume, he might have retired earlier with a lot of losses and never be mentioned as viable pbf opponent. he is just being marketed properly and not proving himself in the ring. i think he should take down thurman, brook, and bradley to prove himself.

no way is this a mismatch, I know everyone hates khan but he is floyds biggest threat by far from 40-54.

the cherry pick for Floyd here truly is pac. khan is ALL wrong for a 40 yr old Floyd, very tough fight. I think Floyd would pull through and win but it will take every single thing he has..

with pac, by round 4 he is walking pac down, cutting off the ring greatly with pac in retreat. picture pac morales 1 just 100x worse for pac

that was a fairly good line but there are 2 legends in our time with supposed "glass hands" and no one was able to truly come close to beating either.

I guess glass hands aren't the worst thing to have
