Remember when Khan was first mentioned as a possible opponent after Floyd defeated Canelo?

It's relentless, I actually am starting to think Khan himself, his little brother, his father and friends come on here and start these posts to try whip up a fuss and keep Khan's name in the frame.

It always seems to be when other names are mentioned these "Mayweather knows he would lose to Khan" posts seem to appear more frequently.

Khan and the people around him are that pathetic I could honestly see them doing it, look at his interviews, desperate attempts on every social media outlet to goad Mayweather to give him a payday.

Because I just do not believe anybody except Khan and his crew of backside kissers honestly think Maweather is avoiding him.

Khan would actually get stopped by Floyd. While that would be amusing, its hardly worth a 100$ PPV price

    Please.

Khan has 1/100th the ring smarts of Mayweather. He doesn't take the best shot or have a good defense, nor is he solid technically.

    It's a mismatch.

No one will take you seriously if you think he is ducking Khan ffs. Pre- Garcia khan looked like a threat...this latest version looks like sh*t. Virgil is a terrible trainer. He makes most fighters worse.

47-1-1 imo. Castillo clearly beat him the 1st fight and maidana 1 was a draw.reason why those are his only rematches to date

I myself used to think (and still do think to a certain extent) that Khan can cause Floyd problems.

However, I never really felt Khan could beat him. After the Algeri fight, I can't see a fight with Floyd going the distance. Khan finds it impossible to defend the overhand right. We all know how good mayweather's timing is and how well he times the overhand right.

Mayweather doesn't have an enormous amount of power, but he has enough to stop Khan.

Mayweather would stop him with an overhand right.

I've been reading all of this stuff about how Floyd is going to "duck" Amir Khan to fight Andre Berto and I'm not sure I get it. They seem pretty close to me, with the difference being an Olympic Silver medal.

    Berto 30-3-0 (23) KO'ed once
    Khan 31-3-0 (19) KO'ed twice

Berto 31 years old, Khan 28.

Berto had his first 20 fights on the US journeyman tour.
Khan had his first 20 fights on the Brit journeyman tour.

Berto lost to Karuss, Guerrero and Ortiz, avenged none.
Khan lost to Prescott, Garcia and Peterson, avenged none.

Both got kayoed by a journeyman, and lost to a world champ and a solid veteran. Both lost one controversial decision.

One turned pro in 2005 one in 2004.

    Only common opponent:

Luiz Collazo: Berto UD-12 Khan UD-12 (Berto got him 5 years younger)

    Khan best wins:
    Barrera; TD-5 (washed-up)
    Kotelnik; UD-12
    Malinaggi; TKO-11
    Judah KO-5
    Alexander UD-12

    Really good fighters beaten: NONE.

    Berto best wins
    Urango; Ud-12
    Quintana; TKO-8
    Zaveck; TKO-5
    Lopez; TKO-6

    Really good fighters beaten: NONE

    Edge, Khan (slightly)

    Titles held:

Khan: Commonwealth, WBO Inter-Continental, WBA Lightweight, WBA Superlightweight. IBF Super lightweight, Interim WBC Superlightweight, minor WBC and WBA Welterweight.

Berto: NABF Welterweight, WBC Welterweight, IBF Welterweight, Interim WBA welterweight.

Edge: Even. Khan has more titles, but Berto was a world champion in the class the fight with Mayweather will be held.

So you tell me, is it a duck, or is two guys on (roughly) the same level.

I don't get the hype with Khan personally, talented guy, but needs to fight Prescott, and Garcia before I am impressed. The Peterson fight could have gone either way.

Despite Khan's recent run being pretty weak, Khan's last three victories over Collazo, Alexander, and Algieri while nothing special is certainly better than the longer disappointing stretch Berto is on. Khan is currently clearly top 10 at WW. Berto is not.
