Guerrero and Ortiz were pretty weak, could even say Canelo wasn't a great pick because of his resume too but he demonstrated a hell of a lot of potential compared to them and has showed it since. People were literally screaming floyd will never fight him, they called for it and they got it. Khan has definitely done enough in regards to ''earning'' it but the problem is he's not done any better than the others touted regarding a relative victory or recent body of work.

Victor Ortiz beat an undefeated world champion whod been reigning longer than most of the other guys at the time and Ortiz was ranked 3rd, right behind Pacqiauo and Mayweather.

Ill wait for you to tell me who Khan beat.

Poor IQ, overrated speed, no chin, open to left hooks, no plan B.

Yep, im sure the division, not just Floyd, is trembling in fear of Amir "Ghengis" Khan.

    No he isn't.

Khan's speed is overrated. He got timed by Garcia, Diaz, and Algieri. He also has no inside game, doesn't look comfortable on the back foot, and his defense is terrible.

Reach? Floyd has the longer reach, and Khan's reach didn't help him against Garcia and Diaz.

    He can't outbox Floyd.

His combinations? Oh, you mean where he throws the same stupid little shoeshine flurries over and over?

He also looked slower in the Algieri fight, which means he's losing the only thing that makes him stand out.

i honestly think Khan talks so much shyte that he cant remember himself what he has even said....he contradicts himself all the time its embarrassing,as is him constantly mentioning Mayweather ...ALL THE TIME

actions speak louder than BS and fighting mediocre guys from the weight below does nothing to get you a fight with Mayweather....it would also help if the gobshyte had any fans ,but as he can even give tickets away to fill a casino the deluded clown has zero chance of the fight like i been saying for years..

  8. I bumped this because I still Hate Amir Khan. Julio Diaz dropped him with a 3 piece. He is and always will be a disgrace. Tyson Fury is ashamed of him.

Imagine khan fighting morales, bareera, marquez, cotto, clottey, margo, rios ext ext

He would be 6 foot under

lets even just say the shot morales that fought Maidana would have khan 6 foot under

There's something about the Garcia knockdown, the way he half-spirals to the floor then leaps back up that you can just tell flashing through his mind is ''for **** sake it happened again'' Guy's got heart but he definitely don't have a reliable jaw on him for whatever reason, used to think it was his positioning but even Algieri shook him up several times.

Don't get why people are being so vicious though, wonder if most posters could get bashed up and get up again with their brains scrambled, I know he chose to be a fighter but no reason to desire the guy badly hurt and take pleasure in it, we're not in the gladiator arena or anything.

RING magazine ranks them like this :

    WELTERWEIGHT
    Champion : Floyd Mayweather
    1. Kell Brook
    2. Manny Pacquiao
    3. Amir Khan

.... unless those rankings are well off, I don't think it's far-fetched to have Khan challenge Mayweather.
    Pacquiao's already tried and failed.
    Is Brook being mentioned ?

Ideally, Khan would be fighting Brook, and the winner would fight the champion.

He's done as well as anybody else left for Mayweather

Mayfield: no chance in hell lol
    Berto: Lopez... whoopie sh**
    Brook: Porter, Dan, Gavin
Thurman: Diaz, Bundu, Guerrero, (Collazo) - Too late for him after this weekend
Garcia: Herrera (loss), Salka, Peterson (questionable win) - Fights Malignaggi in August, no chance.
    Khan: Collazo, Alexander, Algieri
Cotto: Rodriguez, Martinez (questionable condition), Geale | Best fight but is duelling with Canelo in Nov
Golovkin - No point debating it, Floyd isn't going up that far
Bradley just fought/Top Rank and Matthysse is with Oscar, not gonna happen. Neither is a long shot in Rios who has no fight.

I'm starting to think if he actually gets the fight with Floyd, he might end up getting knocked out.

Watching that video reminded me how he has issues with left hooks coming at him. Floyd will be setting traps up throughout the ring to draw Khan into a check hook (especially the corner areas by the turnbuckle.)

I have no doubt Mayweather can stun him with his left hook. He would have to follow through with a few shots afterwards though to get him out of there.
