Khan is not a big money fight, complete myth.

They give tickets away for his fights on a regular basis, they have even shut parts of arenas because it would have looked terrible on TV.

Please stop saying Khan is a big fight because he is not, no bigger than a list of others.

Here is no justification for picking Khan over Brook or Thurman or even Porter.

Khans best win is Alexander who Porter had already beat and Brook beat Porter so why is Khan even in the conversation?

People should be saying Mayweather ducked Thurman and Brook not Khan.

As time is passing the fighters are too
new names in the division we must better construe
Brook Thurman or Porter is dangerous ?
You think fighting these guys could be more courageous ?

Berto's experience will have to show
just to avoid the likely TKO
but the big stage is familiar, someplace he's been
not like these newbies who clearly can't win

But old fighters find that slight burst of air
when the fundamentals of boxing happen to be there
and nothing else but this gives Andre a chance
to show up and win this fight.... Fat Chance !

    Yes really

Khan has not fought a top 10 welterweight, his last world title fight was at 140 and over 3 years ago and he was brutalised.

What has Khan done since to justify a Mayweather fight ahead of Thurman?

Khans best win is over prime boogeyman Maidana.

While I personally think Thurman <Khan, it's hard to say that Thurman has done more to deserve the fight.

    Porter, yes.
Brook, yes, based solely on the Porter fight.

But h2h, Khan has done enough for the Mayweather fight.

And he's always been a win away from it. But he always seems to lose when he's next.

I think Khan is OBVIOUSLY a threat that Mayweather didn't want to risk.

    That said.....
Porter, Brook, and Thurman are too risky as well.

If you scored that fight 118/110....
Well.....you're a bigger idiot than you portray on this site.

The widest possible score is 116/112, from an objective standpoint.
    Subjectively, 117/111 works for a FL0M0SECKSUAL, or 115/113 for a PACT@RD.

Most people had it around 117-111, 118-110.

    Deal with it. :hi:

My mistake I meant to say "Khans best win at 147 was Alexander"

So I apologise, I confused the issue

Alexander is Khans best win at 147 and Porter had already beaten him and Brook went and beat Porter so Khan should be down any list of deserving welterweights in my opinion.

Khan over the last three years since Garcia has just not done enough, Khan keeps putting his name in the frame, nobody else really.

And if he has been one fight away and not got over the line then what does that say about his mental strength or even his ability?

We will see what Khan does next, Thurman is asking for a fight at the end of the year so we will see if Khan has the bottle, Brook has made it clear he wants Khan, Khan has ruled that out, Khan turned down Bradley recently, we will see what "name" the self proclaimed "superstar of boxing" serves up to the boxing public.
