Floyd fighting anybody sells 1 million at this point:huh when is the last time he fought a guy with as little following as Devon and sold 1 million PPV buys with out having a stacked undercard? Dont make **** up, Floyd needs a guy in there who has a following or needs to have the under card set up to generate those numbers Against the Lineal Champ he drew 325k PPV buys after he beat the **** out of Gatti and became an over night star http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=2657809 The Judah fight did the same numbers basically, in order for Floyd to get 1 million buys he needs another big name across the ring from him or a loaded undercard
The only legitimate threat to Floyd at 147 is Bradley. I personally don't care who he fights, but let's not tear down guys.
Gatti, Judah, and Baldomir were before Oscar lol. After Oscar, he's been pretty consistent and his name has only grown(WWE, Dancing with the Stars) Devon's following in STL>>>>>Ortiz following period.
Devon does not deserve this. He is one of the most boring boxers to watch and is no threat to Mayweather at all.
If it gets signed, not really. But it is curious that two of his leading possible opponents are southpaws. Floyd may be shaping up for a Pac fight within a year before calling it a day.
Like it or not, they're having Canelo on Mayweather undercards to give him the maximum exposure possible and that's there because of Mayweather. If you honestly believe Mayweather needs Canelo on his undercards to sell, you're way off.
Devon probably won't fear Floyd's power like he did Maidana/Bailey, and we'll maybe see old Alexander. High workrate, good chin, decent to look at. That's the best case.
I think they're alright and trying to make a point to people saying how GUERRERO is 10x the opponent Devon is. They are both GOOD solid competitors. Around the same level and one should not get bashed while the other one gets praised.
