You have to admit there are guys that pose more of a threat? What about Trout? He had a good performance against Cotto, who gave Floyd problems. Alexander, he's not that popular, has struggled against top opposition... at least Canelo is charismatic, exciting, has a good punch and a massive following, that would be way more exciting. In any event I'd rather he didn't fight guys who were already scheduled to fight in two weeks' time. Especially speaking as a Brit who wanted to see how Brook looked in that fight.
Those guys are at 154. The 10 oz gloves are really discouraging Floyd from heading back up there....which is why he isn't fighting Canelo on 5/4. I doubt we ever see Floyd above 147 again.
if you listen to some idiots here on esb theyll tell you that the belts dont matter. floyds not fighting devon without the belt. the ibf strap is the only thing that can remotely justify this fight. a 140 fighter who wasnt even dominant at 140.
as far as talent id say theyre about even but the thing that couldve made Guerrero interesting is that hes one of those fighters that will tough it out and not quit, theres no point in Mayweather vs Alexander
Alexander stylistically is a harder fight for PBF than Guerrero is. With that said I dont really like either.
He may deserve the shot and the pay day... But good boxing fans don't deserve to be subjected to it. It's a garbage fight. Alexander needs to fight Matthysse again.

He only said Guerrero was a rumor because any opponent being named as the guy to fight Floyd is just a rumor untill hes made a decision. All these names being thrown around is just to get Guerrero to accept some short change. Its all about money. Guerrero has been as quiet as a mouse so you better believe they are negotiating every last dime. Again with the wording, Guerrero is just a 'rumor,' Alexander is the 'front-runner.' All just word play and bargaining methods. Its possible Floyd tells Guerrero to kick rocks if you dontaccept my offer and fight Alexander. I believe Guerrero will budge tho. Mayweather Guerrero will be much more exciting than Alexander. MUCH MORE.
