What I think has happened. Floyd is having trouble negotiating with Guerrero, who is playing hardball because he knows Mayweather doesn't have a great deal of options for his May date. Then Alexander pulls out with injury*, meaning technically he would be available for a May fight. So Floyd comes out publically and says Devon is the frontrunner for the fight, putting pressure on Guerrero to hurry up and accept the terms he's been offered. I wouldn't actually be surprised if the Devon 'injury' is actually due to awful ticket sales. I mean Americans don't really turn out to watch their champions, and a unification fight between Devon and Bradley struggled to draw in Detroit. So I can only imagine how they'd struggle to shift tickets to see Alexander fight against an unknown Brit.
What an awful post. Which big name isn't selective? I could easily name countless guys more selective than Floyd and you know it.
Should have seen this coming. Floyd can say he's fighting the best, that his opponent has a title, and all of his usual drivel. Meanwhile his opponent is completely overmatched. Should have seen something like this coming.
Some of you guys are like broads. Reacting to everything before it's even finalized. Atleast wait till the fight is signed to start having your collective periods, all over this forum.
haha you know its sad when you PRAY he fights Guerrero because we already know he wont step up to the real dogs Martinez/Canelo.
:nono Even if you think Canelo is more dangerous than Guerrero, you can't put him up there with Martinez. IMO Martinez >>>>> Canelo =/= Guerrero >> Alexander > Senchenko, as far as danger to PBF.
Seriously, Alexander makes for a garbage fight. I wont watch it live, probably the first Mayweather fight I won't watch live in a very very long time. I'll watch the undercard though.
oh i dont, but IMO those are the 2 best fights for Floyd. by far. I think Canelo Brings more problems than Guerrero who JUST moved up to 147.
