How is it? Many people (on here) think he can't be beat.

Those are fanboys you shouldnt take their opinions seriously.

All they do is recicle and parrot the same line everytime "Floyd is a stylistic nightmare " to everybody.

    Great thread :good

No, Floyd suffers some losses in different weight classes (SRL, Hearns, Hagler obviously).

Also I think middleweights Joppy and Castro would easily beat 47 y.o. Floyd :deal

Wrong again. It is simply a matter of not being overly impressed with a guy who beat the likes of Augustus, Sosa, Corley, Bruseles, Mitchell, Baldomir, Hatton, Ortiz, or an old Mosley.

Or certainly not as impressed as he and his fanboys are. Most sensible fans would say beating Leonard, and being up on all 3 cards after 12 rounds against Hagler far surpasses ANYTHING Mayweather has achieved. Never mind beating Barkley aged 38, for a version of the Middleweight title whilst giving away 9 years in age, 6 inches in height, and 8 inches in reach.

More to the point could you ever see Mayweather finding the guts to get in with someone like Barkley?

He not only thinks Mayweather would get in the ring with Barkley, he clearly said on the other thread that Mayweather would beat Barkley. (and easily beat Benitez) :rofl

Duran was a FIGHTER, not someone out to milk the game.

Why is it with you new idiots that you ALWAYS come out with lines like that? A lot of FIGHTERS want to TEST themselves.

Someone like Duran isn't thinking "I can beat that guy AND earn crazy money for it...". He's thinking "No! I AM THE MAN, not you! Let's go!"

It's not the prize for guys like Duran, it's the love of fighting combined with a huge challenge of doing what everyone say's you can't do.

I think Floyd is great...but I don't think he would venture Duran's career path. No way.

No, because he would probably lose to Leonard and Hearns. He may have lost to Benitez, as well. Of course, he wouldn't have lost to Kirkland Lang.

In fairness to him, even though most of what he says is shyte, he is half right in this instance. It was Duran who famously said.

" Any prizefighter who says he isn't in it for the money is either a liar, or an idiot. "

If someone as " careful " as Mayweather can make the money he has in this era by cherry picking his way through the weights, you wouldn't even want to imagine what a young Duran could make.

You might need a mirror because you're doing the exact same thing.

    Take Benitez for example.

You make it sound like him fighting Floyd would be a walk in the park for Floyd.

At best it would be a close competitive fight which either fighter has the potential to win. Now which of those two viewpoints is more reasonable and balanced?

Take Durans first 49 fights and I think Mayweather has a great chance at winning them all tbh...

Actually, for ths most part he didn't care all that much about money. He ended up giving most of it away. You really should read his bio. And when he did have a lot of $$$ 'that's when his training started to suffer. Floyd deserves a lit of credit for his dicipline as does B-hop.
