Probably the only fighter to ever make the pretty boy not so pretty. Very underrated clash

Bump. For those who feel that Mayweathers never faced adversity or been in a real scrap.

Augustus has a very high caliber, contrary to his record. When he was on, and younger in those days, yes. He could force anybody into a fight. Proof right here. This was a heck of a fight Floyd was forced into and it shows what he had in his offensive arsenal better than most of his fights after moving above 140.

Prefer 140lb version of Mayweather myself. Still had the explosive offensive arsenal of his 130 days, mixed with the more complete defensive package he has now.

I remember when Floyd was a great fighter who fought other great fighters...

Augustus was REALLY good, a lot of people don't know anything about him, they just go off his record. Truth be told he lost a lot of really shady decisions, he also went into most of his fights on very short notice. He was less special in his later years, but isn't every boxer?

A lot of people say Floyd has never fought anyone; truth be told he fought some of the best, he just stopped fighting the best once he got to Welter Weight...

He did not fight who the promoters wanted him to fight. He only fought Champions and Former Champions at Welterweight. Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah and Carlos Baldomir were real welterweights. Then Juan Manuel Marquez and Ricky Hatton were coming up in weight but not real Welterweights. Despite him not facing Margarito, he called out Cotto and Mosely but we only harp on the fact those fights were not made. In the end, I hope he retires after Manny and Mosley. Nothing else left to prove.

Say what you will about Augustus, but he would make anyone look bad. Tough for any fighter, and highly underrated. His record is like that cuz he fought every f---ingbody. No padding there. Rugged, rough warrior. Shafted mostly because of his style of fighting.

Drunken Master! I've never seen a fighter get robbed out of so many fights. I think Castillo also didn't make him look so pretty that first time. Judah was doing great until he started slowing down as usual.

PBF's record gets too much of a mashing up these days. He beat the linear number ones at lww and welter not that long ago. Then ODLH who was still a force at light middle. Plus Zab wasn't too shabby when he fought him.

PBF's recent competition doesn't stack up with BHop or Pac, but it is up there with virtually everyone else.

Floyd went animal on his ass at the end. Say what you want but he gets stronger as the fight goes on. The only time I seen him noticablly bothered was after the first round or two in the Judah fight. He looked like he was looking to Roger for advice or something.

Man that is what you call a master boxer. The way he lays on them ropes and picks his punches is remarkable to watch. The only time floyd ever gets hit is ironically when he tries to slug it out with his opponent. He is not at all good at it and his timing is well off.

When he sticks to what he does best, he is practically untouchable.
