Spence seems to show his cards on his attacks. I don't see a lot of deception or hiding his intent. I think prime Floyd eats him alive. Ugas was glacially slow and underpowered. Still he caught Spence a few times that almost tilted the fight.

Spadafora stopped Floyd in sparring but no one in their right minds would pick him to beat Floyd in a fight.

Just imagine if he kept on throwing the right hand down the pipe. For some reason be kept throwing the right hook for Spence to block.

I like Spence and think he is the best welter, but Floyd would have dominated him. Spence is a once in an era fighter, Mayweather is once in a lifetime fighter.

I always looked at Danny Garcia, Thurman, Porter, Crawford, Spence as all very good prospects with ATG potential. They have all become very good fighters and have put on classic fights between each other. But something about the eye test, they just never looked quite as good to me as Whitaker, ODLH, Mosley, Trinidad, Mayweather, or Pacquiao. When Pac demolished Thurman at his old age that sealed the deal for me that they are just not as good a previous generations.

It’s not entirely their faults, they are fighting each other for the most part, but past champions didn’t stick around for the passing of the torch and with that experience gain, but also all the business side of things makes fights hard to make.

    I can’t decide.

Floyd’s one of the greatest fighters of all time, but he was past his peak at WW.

Spence is a great fighter and is in his prime.

He has the size, skills and confidence to have given Floyd all that he could have handled.

People seem to vote more on overall careers more than looking at how they’d have matched up stylistically.

As great as Floyd was, at WW, Floyd was mostly a safety first businessman with hand issues.

Spence would have been his best and toughest opponent.

Not the best on a P4P basis, but the best H2H fighter that Floyd ever faced.

The current version of Spence is better than the specific VERSIONS of Manny, Canelo and Oscar etc, that Floyd fought.

None of them would have brought what Spence did to the table.

    A huge WW.

    Great skills.

    In his prime.

    Full of confidence.

None of those other guys brought those things to the table.

    Come on now.

    Struggles to win a round?

An older, faded, in-active Oscar pushed him extremely hard for 9 rounds, before Floyd pulled away at the end.

Spence has great skills, good speed, and he’s in his prime and would be supremely confident.

Who did Floyd beat who was better than Spence?

The specific versions of Oscar, Manny and Canelo who Floyd fought weren’t as good as Spence.

Spence would have provided a WW version of Floyd with the toughest fight of his career.

    Toy with Spence?

    No competition?

    Come on.

    Floyd wasn’t invincible.
