Prime Floyd wasn’t a WW though.

In 2007, an old, faded and in-active Oscar gave Floyd all that he could handle.

Spence would have been Floyd’s toughest fight.

Good post, but Spence would have given Floyd a very tough fight.

Nohe wasn't , but Brook was out boxing Spence early on & Brook was no Floyd...nor was Canelo for that matter ...
Floyd schooled Canelo would've done the same with Spence is basic, as Bud show if that happens ...

Brook was a good boxer with good skills.

He had fast hand speed and was confident and aggressive.

It’s not who the better boxer is, it’s how their styles mesh on the night.

Everybody knows that Floyd was a better overall fighter than Spence.

Floyd was also a level above Oscar and Castillo, and levels above Maidana.

Look at how those fights played out.

    Spence is a huge WW.

    He’s a southpaw.

    He’s got great skills.

He’s sparred Floyd and has supreme confidence.

    He’s in his prime.

    He can be aggressive.

He is not in any way basic.

He would never have stood off of Floyd and showed him the level of respect that most of Floyd’s other opponents showed him.

A total package that Floyd never saw at WW.

Spence would have given Floyd a competitive fight, just like a faded, past his best Oscar did.

I have Spence UD in this one, like the thread on here, Spence is a H2H monster and all wrong for Floyd. Big southpaw with a big cut weight cut and a great pace, Spence would probably be even better in the 15 round era. Great southpaw jab, straight left and relentless pressure along with a great inside game.
oscar was washed, corrales did not use his range he fought on the inside and pep was at most c level boxer
    >Zab
    >135 Marquez jumping up 2 weight classes
    >147 Hatton
All these guys get stopped by Errol.
Spence would also beat 2010 No PED's Shane, maybe stops Cotto late, we all know how he gasses and if Margarito stopped him late with dumber pressure than Spence, Errol could do the same and lets not act like Floyd fought a prime cotto, he got outboxed even easier by Trout his next fight. 2007 washed Oscar drops a decision to Errol and Canelo is maybe the only guy on the list who could beat Spence due to the size and power but at 152 pounds how Floyd fought him not current Canelo, Errol gets that win IMO.

Errol is also carving a great WW legacy and if he beats Bud or some of the contenders like Boots, Vergil or Stanionis he's definetly an ATG at 147.

    Great post.

The specific version of Canelo who Floyd fought wouldn’t have beaten Spence.

I still think prime Spence would be a tough fight. I think Mayweather might be too smart.
