Trinidad gets the ko in 8. Mayweather is way to stationary from the legs down and relies too much on his shoulder roll. Trinidad too big and long and will hurt Mayweather through the gloves. And if he can't get the head, he will get the body
Prime for prime pbf would box circles around tito. Wthat the he'll are you talking about? Different level of boxers.
Spare me. Your hero doesn't have the size or physicality or power to keep Trinidad off of him. He will languish on the ropes because he will get walked down.
For one, Floyd wouldn't even get in the ring with Trinidad. But if he did, the only possible outcome would be a Trinidad KO or Floyd UD. Once Floyd feels Trinidad's power, he'll get on his bike just like DLH did. I see Trinidad catching Floyd mid to late rounds and ending him.
Power is overrated skills aren't. How much power did pbf have to keep canelo off what about Oscar? How much power did pea Whitaker have to keep of Chavez? Skills pay the bills and at the of the day pbf has more. Tito was slow and could be out maneuvered and beat to the punch pbf would stick and move on tito while tito loaded up looking to land his hook but in the meantime he would be losing rounds while getting a boxing lesson.
prime floyd could win but he would really have to move and move/almost run to get it done. tito catching him with something big is something that could happen. but like some people say, i don't believe floyd would sign for a fight with prime tito
Cheato could be outboxed and his power vanished after Richardson discovered his illegal handwraps. He is overrated terribly on this board.
Here's the issue cause it's clear some people here don't actually watch boxing apart from Mayweather and Pacquiao. Trinidad at welterweight was devastating up until the late 90's. He was fast, aggressive, threw in combinations, had endless stamina, and unlike the last portion of his career where he relied soley on his power, he was a brilliant boxer. When he fought De la Hoya who was roughly the same size, everyone thinks De la Hoya's strategy was too stick and move for the duration of the fight. I'm not so sure about this and I don't think that was his main strategy. In the 2nd or 3rd round, De la Hoya gets caught by a solid left hook in between a double jab. His whole rhythm changed after that. He felt the power and realized standing in front of Trinidad was a bad move and he had to use his legs. Unfortunately for De la Hoya, he has always had stamina issues and couldn't fight that way the entire fight especially with Trinidad trying to land a big punch. What a lot of people either don't know or conveniently forget is that Trinidad was having a hard time making weight. In fact Trinidad had already moved up to 154 to fight an aussie fighter named Troy Waters who passed away last year. Trinidad blitzed him in 1. De la Hoya came up in weight comfortably and Trinidad seeing a big payday forced himself back down to ww. Trinidad had no legs or the trademark explosiveness against De la Hoya and almost paid for it. Against Hopkins and even Wright, the situation was different. Hopkins was a tall, long, and rough career middleweight. Trinidad was noticeably slower and less coordinated when he fought Joppy and it was a clear sign that even though he could still crack, he wasn't a solid, full fledged middleweight. Hopkins used his lateral movement, long jab, size and physical strength to neutralize Trinidad's punching power. Wright was almost the same issue. Wright wasn't a big puncher, but he was long, left handed, and physically bigger and stronger. And at this point, Trinidad no longer seemed to have the engine he used to have before he retired. Mayweather does not bring the size or physicality to win. Mayweather at ww fights very cautious and paced. He stays at the right distance where he can land at the very end of his punches and when he is cornered, he goes into a shoulder roll and dips either to the left or the right to step out in that direction. Trinidad who is much taller will not be leaning into land and will not be worried because let's face it, Mayweather blocks the left hook with the glove on the side of the head. Blocked or not, Trinidad is going to hurt him and bad with that and a verity of punches. Essentially, he does not have the legs to get away from Trinidad's ****nal and won't have any offense to deter Trinidad from attacking.
Alvarez did not have the experience or pedigree that Trinidad had. Whittaker actually had legs when he fought Chavez. Something Mayweather would not have had against Trinidad.
Idk why people bring up Whitaker-Chavez to compare Mayweather-Trinidad, 2 very different scenarios. Chavez vs Whitaker at 135 would of been much different and even tho I think Whitaker deserved the win, it wasn't as one sided as *****s say it was. Tito got outboxed by fighters as big or bigger than him in their primes. Not saying Floyd wouldn't have his moments, cuz he would, but we saw what happened to Floyd vs an old Mosley, it almost went disastrous for Floyd. Against Tito, he'd enjoy speed advantages, but then almost everyone did. Floyd would have to follow Oscar's blueprint, but this is a prime, hard hitting, risk taking Oscar accumulating points on Tito. Floyd is the pot shotting type. He's not putting more than 2 shots together vs an advancing Tito. Oscar took Tito's power well, I don't think Floyd would handle it as good as Oscar, who was a big welter. But at 147, I might give Floyd the benefit of the doubt, tho with all his skill I don't think he could follow Oscar's blueprint, but just to give him benefit of doubt gets by with a SD. But at 154, Tito would be too much. Same goes for the 2002 version of Oscar that beat Mosley.
Dude WHAT?! Trinidad would have been outboxed to hell and back by floyd. Tito was good once someone went full re**** and tried to open up the fight on him, then he would unload some serious hurting bombs down the pipe. Watch his fight with Winky....It would have been that, but 1000000 times more of a clinic
Yeah, read my big piece that I typed above. It's clear you never saw a prime Trinidad and are a giant Mayweather crone
