You completely missed a point I made in a previous post. Trinidad had no legs or explosiveness. He had moved up to 154 a few fights prior because he was having a hard time making 147. He came back down to get a big payday fight with De la Hoya. De la Hoya took advantage of this. I often wondered what would have happened if they rematched at 154. I think De la Hoya would have been blasted in 9

Oscar was definitely not the same fighter at 154, but did take big shots from a roided up, huge and in amazing shape Fernando Vargas with no problem. That fight would have been a war though, this is also when Mayweather sr was training oscar and had him flat footed, trying to implement the shoulder roll, which was all wrong for Oscar IMO. One he reverted back to the normal oscar in the vargas fight, Vargas couldn't keep up, but Vargas did make some adjustments and did bring it to Oscar that fight.
But Vargas vs Trinidad, one of my favorite fights of all time. And I do believe Vargas had a chance to put tito away when tito low blowed him and got the time out, allowing him to fully recover from the KD but ya that is off topic.
But the 154lb Oscar was on the decline I believe. Never looked amazing at that weight to me, would be a tough fight vs a stronger Tito.

Vargas had a great punch but Trinidad was a much bigger puncher at 154. The Vargas win I thought was De la Hoya's last victory against a viable opponent

Good post. Not saying Tito would win, but it would be hard to pick a winner in this fight.

Blocker, Campas, Carr, Whittaker, Reid, Vargas, Joppy, Mayorga. He's got a bunch of ko's against decent opposition, but the names I listed were guys who either had ability, could have upset him cause of circumstances, or was moving up in weight to challenge that opponent

    :rofl  :rofl

GET THAT BULLSH#T OUT OF HERE ! !

Floyd aint surviving 36 mins with Trinidad , its just not happening .

Hes never faced anything like Trinidad , he never got into the ring with anyone close to the offensive beast that Tito was :deal

A one punch fighter ?? Are we talking about the same man ?.

Tito was a well known combination puncher who mixes his punches beautifully to the body and head .

One of the most devastating left hooks in WW history . Fast , precise . Accurate with his punches , and also was very good getting his punches off at any range .

Excellent stamina , he carried his power with him all 12 rnds .

You know damn well , you being a Floyd Mayweather fan you would be ****ting bricks out your ass watching Floyd in there with a Prime Trinidad :yep

At any second during the fight Floyd can be put to sleep and You already know this .

You do realize Trinidad only has hit Floyd 1 time right ??

The man didn't slow down which Floyd anticipates all his opponents to do , he could care less how long it took to get to you . His aggression was relentless .

Trinidad explosiveness and combos would penetrate Floyds shoulder roll . Its not going to help him . Its inevitable , the man will get seriously hurt everytime Tito unloads on him .

He is simply too overwhelming and too physically strong for Mayweather to endure Period .

Btw Mayweather was superior To Castillo in almost department , yet it didn't help him and he still lost that fight .

If Floyd thought Castillo was a B.itch to deal with , Trinidad is on a whole another level :rofl .

    Tito BREAKS Floyd :hi:

Trinidad struggled with footwork and lateral movement, which Floyd has in spades.

Floyd struggled badly and lost to Castillo who is 1 dimensional and Slow .

Trinidad is superior and much more devastating than Castillo even on his best night :deal

Floyd has never encountered the caliber of animal that Tito was .

Floyd goes to sleep in 5 :yep
