Why it seems that Oscar dela Hoya gets to spank Floyd's opponents first?

double right cross, triple right cross
    left and right uppercut chains

not to mention on defense, right guard shell, very reflexive feet, upper body movement, and decent chin.

    And plenty of Ring IQ

Hes the definition of a complete fighter. Floyd under achieved in his career if you take into account his potential. Boxing politics aside, he could have had more on his resume already.

Only two, I think.... Gatti and Genaro Hernandez. But Hoya spank them way earlier. In Hernandez case - 1995 vs. 1998, In Gatti's case 2005 vs. 2001.

However both Hoya's fights were at higher weight classes.

Just an observation, nothing to it. Hoya and Mayweather never met in the crossroad of their primes, both in timeline and in weight class.

Hoya fought Gatti and Hernandez when they were prime fighters but he also made them jump a weight class. Mayweather fought Gatti and Hernandez towards the end of their careers.

Hard watching what Floyd used to be and then comparing it to the loudmouth, non-fighting clown he is now.
