He didn't carry him. Floyd got tagged numerous times, so he took his time and wore McGregor down. There were many times where Floyd looked pissed because McGregor was outboxing him.
But in the third or fourth Floyd started smiling because he knew he had the fight in the bag.

McGregor was exceptional at controlling the distance and he found openings to take advantage off. This why Floyd started walking him down, because outboxing him from a distance was a difficult.
And Floyd quickly figured out everything McGregor did. But those opening rounds were McGregors because he outboxed Floyd. (There was a brilliant video on Youtube showcasing every combination and punch McGregor landed, and how Mayweather adapted. )

And McGregor has a UFC contract, which he has been renegotiating. And why would he fight some random top contender in boxing? He is a proven draw in MMA and he has many options there.

Floyd would get ko'd but I hate Floyd let him stay retired don't want to see him in a ring again . tbh even a Prime Floyd would get KO'd BY GGG.

 

He could have put McGregor's lights out in a Rd if he wanted.
But chose to drag it out to appear less deprecating.

No way Floyd takes ANY fight with 5 weeks, and certainly not at 160.

If it was 8 wks, and GGG accepted the exemptions, signed the NDAS, and accepted the 154.1 catch weight and the 90/10 split we'd have a fight

 

Please, it was clear in the early round that Floyd was bothered by him and he had to change his approach. Floyd let him hit with all those punches? GTFO.
(But after 4 its was all Floyd and he outclassed McGregor)
McGregor is/was renegotiating his UFC deal. The same contract that wont allow him to just run around and continue his boxing career.

He’s not some God that can defy the laws of nature,Canelo had to go on PEDs for years to “grow” into the solid mass that fought Golovkin.

2 rounds might be a bit quick. I see FM hanging around until mid fight. Floyd's D will get him into the mid stage of the bout.
