Floyd Mayweather vs. Ike Quartey.

Quartey was a tough dude who had the skills,toughness, and size to stand and give prime DLH one hell of a fight (I believe prime DLH wrecks pretty boy easily).

The Quartey jab would control mayweather pretty easily…mayweather couldn't handle the jab of old DLH or old Cotto. It's a close enough fight only because quartey's activity is only a notch above clottey or Mayweather.

 

Quartey W12. He simply would've outworked Floyd. Ike would've laughed at Floyd's "power."

 

Only half right, floyd was only able to counter oscar's jab when oscar BEGAN SLOWING DOWN AND FADING.

 

Why is it that Floyd only wins when people fade? I hear this all the time.

 

Quartey lives to far to fight.

 

Maybe because they don't have Alex Ariza as their conditioning coach.:huh It's Floyd's fault that fighters fade.

lol when people on this forums claim he beat zab judah because he slowed after 4 rounds? what elite level pro boxer is fading after 4 rounds (not including heavys) atsch. even if you watch the fight you can see zab pulling all these random ideas out the hat trying to come up with some answer to floyds ring iq

 

Floyd's lack of power and low workrate, paired with Quartey's jab, and power would make me favor Quartey.

 

Mayweather by UD. The counter rights over Quartey's jabs and stabs to the body carries the fight for him.

Interesting note: Because of Quartey's jab, I tend to recall him as being somewhat lanky. But in reality, he and Mayweather are about the same height and Mayweather has a 1 inch reach advantage.

 

Mayweather would not fight Quartey and as someone pointed out, Quartey lives in Ghana.
