Could Money pull off a victory over Iran the same as Duran?

Admittedly I did it to **** off the floyd fans but also to illustrate what a great victory this was by Duran. Arguably one of the greatest in history.

When you look at where he’d come from.

    His age.

The huge difference in height and reach.

Duran had no business fighting anybody at MW, and especially a guy like Barkley.

    It was a ridiculous win.

After debating No Neck previously, I can tell you for sure, that he thinks that Floyd’s win over Canelo was on another level.

Let me preface this by saying Iran is one of my top 3 favorite fighters.

Barkley could box pretty good when he wanted to, but this is Floyd Mayweather we're talking about here. Levels and levels above Iran skill-wise. And stylistically, Mayweather has similarities to Toney, who beat Iran up with a counterpunching style. The difference is Iran and Toney both started as middlweights and ended as heavyweights. Floyd started as a SFW and ended as a welter. Also both Duran and Toney liked it in the pocket for prolonged stretches, which Floyd did not against larger guys.

I think Floyd would wisely avoid this one. If Barkley tried to outbox him like he did Duran, maybe Floyd can pull it off. But seems like Barkley should be able to just club the much tinier man down.

The startling difference between Toney and Floyd, is that that was prime Toney at Toney’s best weight class, whereas this would have been a JMW version of Floyd, past his best, against a huge guy at a weight that he’d never even fought at.

Floyd undoubtedly had Toney’s skill set in his prime. But in this specific match up, I can’t envisage Floyd in any any way being as aggressive, offensive minded or as confident as what Toney was.

This would have been a horrible stylistic match up for Floyd.

He’d have been backed up and put on the defensive from the outset.

I don’t think he’d have had much of an offensive arsenal in order to have accumulated enough points for a decision.

LMAO. Floyd couldn't handle and had no answer for the strength of JLC at 135 .... and clearly lost that fight .. He wouldn't even get past Duran or Arguello at 135 or Napoles, Cervantes , Pryor or Arguello at 140. AND thats steppin it up HUGE in competition from a JLC caliber fighter ,,,,and now he is being matched at 160 ? These Floyd beat off fans are hilarious

Zero reason why Floyd wouldn't do a better job than Rolly Polly Roberto.

FMM couldn't have eaten that left hook from Barkley the way Duran did in the 8th round. That would have been lights out for pretty boy.

No. Because Duran was the smaller man and knew the only way to beat The Blade was to out work him in the pocket. The Reasoning behind Duran's tactic of eating a few to give you a few is because Duran can take a shot and keep coming. This was Duran's whole game plan and he was successful.

Floyd would have not been as successful to say the least.
