Kalambay was a JUNIOR MIDDLEWEIGHT for many years before he MOVED up to middleweight so no he was not a natural middleweight.

Kalambay was 5'9- an inch taller then Mayweather and not a heavy puncher by any means. And yet where was this "aggressive" Barkley when he fought Kalambay? He just followed Sumbu around the ring losing a wide decsion.

Kalambay started out at jr Middleweight. Floyd started out as a Super Feather. Kalambay was taller than Floyd. Kalambay beat the great Mike Mc Callum at 160. Floyd beat who at 160? Floyd was stationary at 154. Kalambay was a constant mover at 160.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I hope you realize that you are in a small minority based on the poll.

Oh it was always that Greg, agreed. I had one more sentence tacked on there but couldn't even be arsed dishing out a second line of sarcasm.......which is rare for me but it also also cements the "latter"

Both. He once tried to convince me that Harry Greb deliberately avoided black fighters in a Greb vs Mayweather thread . He literally told me that a prime Harry Greb fighting a shot Blackburn would have been more impressive than a green novice Greb beating a merely declining Blackburn, bcause '' Greb never beat a black fighter when he was in his prime''. After I proved just how stupid all that talk was, he just dodged it and said something among the lines of ''We can agree to disagree. But the one who beat the best of his era was Mayweather''. And I just called it there.

It's true that he didn't fight Blackburn when he was in his prime.

If your objective is to prove that Barkley would beat Mayweather because he got obese in between fights, I concede defeat.

He wasn’t a JMW for years before he moved up. And even if he had’ve been, it wouldn’t have made any difference.

    He was a legitimate MW.

Look at who he fought and beat there.

Whereas Floyd only ever had 3 fights above WW, where one of them was at a C-W.

Kalambay was very offensive against Barkley. He lead with his jab, and he was happy to engage with him and let his hands go. He didn’t fight defensively.

Yet I don’t believe for a second that Floyd would have been as offensive minded. I don’t believe that he’d have been as confident and as aggressive.

I also don’t think that Iran would have stood off of him and engaged him in a boxing match, when Floyd had come up from the lower weights, where he’d never even fought at MW before.

He told me last year that he knows for sure that Floyd would have handled Greb with ease.

And when I asked him why he was so sure, he said because Floyd easily beat Canelo, who was the same size. Ha!

That’s what we’re dealing with here.
