too big for Floyd, add to that the fact that he's one of the greatest swarmers of all time...... Floyd would have his hands full here. Lamotta by UD.....Floyd would win a lot of the early rounds before Lamotta's size and pressure took it's toll. but like others have a said- Lamottas a career middleweight who would proly never even be able to make 154 but if he did comfortably the size advantage would be enormous!!! The fact that we're creating fantasy fights between Floyd and ATG MW's in order to hand Mayweather an L really speaks volumes about his head to head greatness :deal:deal:deal

Absolutely, I am no Floyd fan at all, but he has earned his spot in the top 30 all time.

Floyd Mayweather if the better all time fighter than Lamotta, but Lamotta is the wrong fighter for him to fight. Lamotta by comfortable UD as Floyd fights to survive rather than win after the 8th.

Jake beat the great SRR once! End Thread... He would ravage Floyd! It would be like throwing a hot dog in the middle of an angry pack of wolves!

Well Floyd certainly won't hurt Jake, and can he keep him off him, but hey, if he beat SRR, he beats Mayweather.

LaMotta could box, and do it well fight agianst any style. He had to much trouble by 1951 making weight of 160, which hurt him inRobinson fight. I can't see him getting down to Floyd's weight. Lamota was better, for sake of poll I voted for Lamota by decision

Lamotta is so underated, his style is all wrong for Floyd. The swarmign and power shots inside would wear him down and KO him by round 9.

Floyd did OK with Cotto at 154. Lamotta was an animal, a once in a lifetime type of figher.

I just can't imaging todays 154's fighters fighting Lamotta, he would KO Cotto easily. I would even favour Lamotta over Hearns

If he struggled a D fighter Castillo, imagine what Lamotta would do.

    IMO he doesnt,sorry.

To beat Floyd you need height and reach advantage (same height,Floyd reach longer)

Good speed, not one of Lamotta strong points

Power, I'll give him that one,but there is this false belief that Lamotta was a KO artist when he wasnt, If he landed enough flush shots on Floyd then sure Floyd prolly wont make it out alive. But Floyd defense is one of the best.

I understand Lamotta beat argueably the goat, but styles make fights. Mayweather is no Ray Robinson, but he does have much better defense than Robinson did. Of course Robinson excels in other attributes over Mayweather but as far as defense Mayweather is much better. And just because he beat SRR once out of 6 tries does not mean enough for me to say he would beat Floyd. Especially at 154 which Lamotta would have a tough time making.

I just dont believe he had what it took to beat Floyd, sorry man. That swarming style just does not defeat him imo. Lamotta had a great chin and would be walking through Floyd shots all night. But IMO Floyd would do just enough to win a decision.

Lamotta punishes Mayweather like never before and stops him in the 15th.

Jake LaMotta beat Ray Robinson, so if that version of the Bronx Bull showed up vs Floyd, I think he would win.
