    Although I was never a fan of Floyd I think he outpoints Chavez

    Just too much ring IQ and stellar defense.

    Chavez had some trouble with the speed of Roger Mayweather at 140 and big trouble with the speed of Taylor, Whitaker and Randall. Floyd would present the same problems.

    I pick Mayweather as well but damn Randall was awesome against Chavez.

    It's clearly Chavez's best win above 135 lbs and he needed some help from Richard Steele to get it

    He was....and would you consider him anywhere near Mayweathers level?
    But, I was actually giving JC credit for winning the rematch

    Randall should ahve won the rematch as well

    He was thumping Chavez in the 7th and 8th rounds before the accidental clash of heads after almost dropping JC in the second round; Chavez basically quit. The scorecards were sketchy just like in the first fight.

    Look at the trouble Randall gave Chavez at 140. Beat him twice as far as i'm concerned, and Chavez quit against Randall the second time.

    So Richard Steele broke Taylor's eye socket and ribs and made his face look it had been a car crash did he?

    As for the question, @ 140, i'd take Floyd by close UD, Chavez wins at 135 though.

    Castillo , Baldimir , and Maidana were much more effective than anyone thought they'd be against May Jr. Is it that much a reach , that Chavez, a legitimate ATG that fought similarly to the three fighters above , yet was much , much better, wouldn't be much more effective?
    Camacho wasn't what he was at Jr. Light/ Lightweight........ But really neither was May Jr.
    What he was though is very selective to who he fought, and when. He was the greatest match maker for himself in history.......
    Most money for the lowest threats.
    I'll give him credit for that.

    Baldomir lost 12-0 on two cards and 10-2 on the third.

    Chavez was losing to Willy Wise around the age Floyd was when he beat Maidana twice and then Pacquiao.

    Chavez was past his prime also, but prime Comacho still get's his ass kicked by Chavez, as their respective fights with Rasario prove

    Chavez is too busy, too smart, and too relentless for Floyd. Floyd's punch output was very low. Less than half that of a guy like Meldrick Taylor. Chavez outworks Floyd for a UD in which Mayweather comes out the most beaten up he has ever been in his career.
