Hahaha...Toyed with Jesus? Yes he won by TKO, but Chavez gave Mayweather a run for his money. You are truly a delusional nut hugger. If PBF barely got by a past prime ODLH, then he would defitnately lose to a prime Chavez.

Don't be a ******* and say ODLH was prime. And DLH was implementing a pressure strategy to fight PBF.

That's the thing about Mayweather, he wins every fight on PAPER.

Too bad he won't prove it in the ring, and regardless of what his biggest fans say, his resume is not ATG.

And his two best wins other than Corrales who is a good fighter, but by no means great, are two guys that are about to fight against PAC.

And Pac already busted one up, and chances are he's going to beat Hatton more impressively than Mayweather as well.

And yeah, styles make fights, but when people look at BoxRec they're going to see that DLH was TKO'd when Mayweather got a Split, and Ricky Hatton was TKOd faster than what Mayweather did.

This does not look good for Mayweather's legacy.

I never heard PBF say Chavez was one of his toughest fights. He did say Agustus was though.

What you fail to realize is PBF is at home against the ropes he can can counter effectively and make you miss there. It's a rope-a-dope strategy that he uses.:deal

What u fail to realize is he didn't do good against the ropes against Castillo or Chavez.

JCC would have a field day with PBF cornered against the ropes. It takes much more than PBF's fragile fists to get JCC off someone.

This coming from a guy who said JLC comfortably beat PBF. PBF won that fight clearly a reduced Oscar to ineffective aggression had him scared to let his hands go in the middle of the ring. PBF took away Oscar's jab landed the harder and cleaner shots and watched him fade down the strech on cue. The loser of all big fights wasn't that great to begin with and PBF beats any version of Oscar.:deal

That's why I don't look at boxing record it doesn't tell you the whole story. You might want to start looking at actually fights instead of being a boxing record ranger.:good

people that bring up the "bums" (i would love to see you guys in the ring) that chavez beat is ****en stupid...
we all know his first couple of years were bull****, but what about what happened after that....the man was world champ 4 years after turning pro, just like a lot of other greats and olympians....his 2nd or 3rd defense was against roger for ****s sake, and even then he made his ass crawl on the canvass...

chavez fought his share of gatti's and hatton's too, and like floyd he disposed of them properly....from gamache, haugen, lonnie smith who was supposed to slap chavez up and down the ring and lockridge to the greats like ramirez, camacho, taylor, chapo and many others not listed....
the mans resume is un****witable and his first years of boxing can easily be thrown out the window cause like many other greats, he was champ within 4 years (3 years and 7 months to be exact) and defended his title many times against guys that were hella good, just cause you aint never heard of them dont mean they're bums......

people that dont give chavez credit or call him overated are flat out ****en idiots that only remember chavez from 96 and on......it's a ****en shame that you can't respect a man like that....

and people talking **** about chavez's defense obviously have never seen him in his prime.....just cause he dont run and hide behind his shoulders dont mean he didnt have defense.....if he was so defensively flawed, how come it took about 90 fights to finally drop him, and NONE TO COMPLETELY KNOCK HIM OUT

PBF was fine on the ropes especially at 135. He was injured against JLC in the first fight and still won a close decision. In the second fight he boxed more and won clearly. PBF can fight off the ropes effectively against JCC at times but he could stay on his bike and outbox him to a UD win and there would be little JCC could do to prevent it from happening.:deal

    i can see that..
but i just can't understand how you can easily disrespect chavez and how you think it's impsossible for floyd to lose to chavez....

I'm not disrespecting JCC is an ATG and anything can happen in boxing but this match up is about styles and PBF holds the styles advantages in this fight and that's why I would favor him. Just like Pea holds the styles advantage against PBF and I would favor him as well.

    What are you talking?

Whitaker moves around better than PBF and very rarely gets his back to the ropes. Not to mention that Whitaker is superior boxer and more elusive.

PBF showed twice against Castillo that he has problems with the Chavez style. Chavez is a lot better than Castillo.

Chavez showed he had problems with boxers. PBF moved around a lot especially at 130 and 135.

Chavez showed he had problems with boxer at 147. He disposed of Camacho, a great boxer, very easily.

Mayweather showed he had problems with pressure fighters such as JCC in the Castillo fights and against a limited Jesus Chavez.
