The rematch was also close, thats the reason im bringing this up. I know Floyd is very skilled and all but he hasn't shown me anything
to think he can take a guy like Chavez. In fact he showed me alot of vulnerability in the Castillo fight.

He looked terrible trying to cut the ring down against Whitaker. Whitaker didnt even use much movement in that fight and Chavez couldnt corner him. Again 50 or so Cabbies, plus a couple B level opponents is not elite level fighters like Whitaker and Mayweather.

Floyd is not Haugen or Camacho.

Why do people keep saying he beat him? The last time I checked PBf was 2-0 against him and was hurt in the first fight. The second fight is the one people should talk about because PBF was healthy. Also I would like to say people act as if JLC was a trash fighter or something a lot of great fighters have been sparring partners. JLC at his peak was easily one of the most underrated guys in the game and it's a crying shame how his career and life have turned out.

I'm not saying PBF whoops his ass I'm saying PBF would outbox him to a UD win big difference there. Everyone here knows JCC was a beast and could take shots like few in history had an ATG body attack but I'm looking at PBF's strengths and to me they outweigh JCC's in this fight.

Because when challenged to produce a scorecard they come up with the excuse "I dont need to prove myself to you"

As Lampley stated during the 2nd fight, the majority of ringside observers scored it for Floyd. And he was injured.

    We've gone over this before.

    "tendency to get outboxed"
    "Had slow hands"
    "ate punches"
    "average defense":patsch

You are describing Jesus Chavez, not Julio Cesar Chavez!

He was better in all those categories than you give him credit for...:good

He doesn't need to run from Chavez he can stay in the pocket at times or stick and move coming from all angles at the end of the day PBF is the more versatile fighter and that's the big reason why I would pick him to win.

Whitaker is left handed and one of the most skilled left handers of all time to boot.

You think Mayweather is pot shotting his way past Chavez by UD you must be on crack. You need more than a few angles from the orthadox stance to offset Chavez.

He could not stay in the pocket with Jesus Chavez or Castillo, so how is he doing that with Chavez ?

Chavez wasn't anything even close to slow. He was wicked fast and threw in combination, and he knew how to get close and in position to get those shots off. He was also 13 years into his career, and had his first championship fight a full 9 years before he ever met Whitaker and was 10 lbs over his best weight, yet the fight was close enough for him to get a draw against an elite ATG like Pea. He was at the same point in his career when he fought Pea that Pea was when he fought ODLH and lost, but he had had TONS more fights, many of them at the championship level.

He didn't just beat quality champions, he SMASHED them, obliterated them, crushed them underfoot and savored the lamentations of their women. He was a brutal warrior who came forward and made fights. He would knock out a HOF fighter at 8pm, and by 10pm he was hanging out with cocaine cartel leaders and getting laid by three bitches at the same time.

You would think that JCC is EXACTLY the type of fighter that the knuckleheads on this board would be in love with, he's Duran x2, but he gets soooo much hate on this board. I just don't understand it.

PBF was ****ing around with Jesus Chavez toying with him and trying out new **** he knew he would eventually stop him and did. Even said so in the post fight interview.

What does the fact that Pea was a southpaw have to do with the fact that Chavez looked like his feet were in mud. The fact that Pea looked like the physically stronger guy, that Pea took 1 step to the right, threw a punch landed flush, took a step to the left, threw punch, landed flush, rinse and repeat for basically the whole fight?

The lower the weight the better Chavez chances, when we get to 140, this is Floyds best in terms of physical strength, ring intelligence and speed. He thru punches in bunches at this weight and combined it with excellent foot work. I dont see Chavez getting with floyd at this wieght. Maybe 135.

Floyd stopped Chavez in the pocket. The best punches floyd landed in that fight were counter uppercuts that snapped Chavez head back.

You can stop with the Duran 2x stuff because Duran was superior on all fronts. I agree that JCC was something special but I favor the the advantages that PBF has in this fight. We just will have to agree to disagree.:good
