Manny fought Marquez (first three), Cotto, Barrera (first fight) and Bradley were pretty much at their primes.

Morales Pacquiao I was the last stand for El Terrible. He was still an incredible fighter at that point too. I'm totally in the camp of throwing out the final 2 fights. Morales was totally done at that point.

That's too much for Floyd in terms of opposition.

He went from "incredible" to "totally done" in 10 months?

Pacquiao clearly wins this, but Floyd has a very good resume.

Cosign this win's an losses also come into account. It's one thing to fight Marquez 4 times but when most feel you lost 3/4 that shouldn't be propped up on the great win's list to me.

NFL running backs go from winning MVP's to absolutely finished in 10 months. Earl Campbell, Shaun Alexander... etc.

You only have so much punishment you can absorb. At some point you break.

Most feel the fight could have gone either way. We don't rip away
Barrera's victories over Morales because they were close. He still won......... for example.

You acknowledge a close decision win for what it is.

    A close decision win.

But it's not relevant to the thread though. It's about pure level of competition. And Manny wins this in a landslide.

A name without context is just a name. Like Erik Morales has a way bigger name cache than say Carlos Baldomir but with context Baldomir is the better win. Also there's a difference between a close decision and a flat out bad one I do believe both Pac-JMM I & III were voted "Robbery of the Year", that goes beyond just a close fight.
